NMAT 2015 Syllabus

NMAT 2015 consists of 3 sections i.e. Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. which contains total 120 questions of objective type multiple choices of total 120 marks. There is no negative marking in NMAT.  NMAT 2015 Syllabus helps students to know about the topics and related questions in a particular subject that can come in the exam. To score in all the 3 sections candidates need to study the syllabus extensively. Given below is the NMAT Syllabus for M.B.A and PGDMA:

Language Skills:-Total Questions- 40

It contains 2 Reading Comprehension passages of around 200 to 300 words, where candidates have to select the most appropriate answer from the passage itself. The other questions are of English usage. There will be 40 questions to be completed in 22 minutes. The topics that are included this section are:

  • Fill in the blanks
  • Jumbled sentences
  • Synonyms & Antonyms
  • Idiomatic Usage
  • Vocabulary
  • Passages
  • Poems
  • Dictionary meanings of different words
  • Syntax and correct grammar

Logical Reasoning:- Total Questions- 40

Logical Reasoning section includes 40 questions which have to be answer in 38 minutes. It  checks the logical aptitude of the candidates. This section consists of subsections i.e. Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Decision Making questions.

Topics under Decision Making part:

It includes questions related to some scenarios or cases with possible courses of action as options provided to the candidates out of whom the candidates will have to choose the correct option.

Quantitative Skills, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency:- Total questions- 48

This section consists of 48 questions to be completed in 60 minutes. It consists questions related to topics like, Data interpretation, Problem solving and Data sufficiency.
