NMAT 2021: General Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the minimum NMAT eligibility criteria defined by GMAC. Only those candidates who meet the basic eligibility criteria for NMAT 2022 related to age limit, academic qualification, experience, and the number of attempts will be able to fill NMAT by GMAC application form 2022.

Age Limit
There is no age limit to apply for NMAT 2022 exam. GMAC has not defined any restrictions based on the age of the applicants, hence, candidates of any relevant age group can apply for NMAT 2022 exam.
Educational Qualification
The basic minimum eligibility criteria for NMAT 2022 based on academic qualifications are given below:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3 / 4) from a recognized university
- A minimum of 50% marks in graduation
- Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply. However, their admission will be considered provisional until they submit the required final mark sheet and certificate of graduation at the time of admission.
Professional Work Experience
It is not mandatory to have work experience to apply for NMAT by GMAC 2022 exam. However, candidates having prior work experience of 2-3 years in the relevant field may be considered during the admission process.
Number of Attempts
In a year, candidates are given the opportunity to take NMAT 2022 exam 3 times including the first attempt, retakes, and no-shows. Candidates must note that the best marks out of the three attempts would be considered for the final percentile calculation.

NMAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria: Points to Remember
Apart from the basic eligibility criteria, there are some other important things to note while applying for NMAT 2022. Applicants are advised to go through the following before NMAT Registration:
- AIU certificate is mandatory for the candidates who have completed their graduation from overseas Universities.
- For the full-time courses, candidates who are currently appearing for the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply. In such a case, provisional admission shall be granted.
- Provisional admission is subject to clearing the final examination of his/her Bachelor’s degree with at least fifty percent aggregate in marks.
- At the time of admission, candidates are required to produce semester-wise/ trimester-wise/ consolidated (if individual mark sheets are not issued by University / Institute) mark sheets of all years from the college he/she has graduated from.
- In the case of printed copies of mark sheets, attestation of the same by the Principal with the official seal is mandatory/required, without which it will not be accepted.
- Candidates who have passed or have appeared for their graduation examination from a University where Grade Point Average system is followed, are then required to produce the equivalent percentage for the GPA/CGPA obtained in writing from the concerned University.

NMAT Reservation Policy
GMAC does not specify any reservation policy as the admission process is conducted by the respective participating colleges. Hence, the participating colleges follow their own specific reservation criteria for MBA/ PGDM admissions based on NMAT exam, which the candidates must check on their respective websites before application.
- Furthermore, there is no provision of category-wise different minimum qualifying marks to register for NMAT exam, and also no concession is granted in NMAT application fee for candidates belonging to the reserved categories (ST/ SC/ OBC/ PwD).
- The application criteria and fee are the same for all candidates irrespective of their category, i.e., INR 2300.
- Reservation of seats for the widows/wards of armed forces personnel killed/disabled in action or during peacetime and wards of Kashmiri migrants will be applicable for those candidates who have successfully met the desired cut-offs and other eligibility requirements of the respective course/s applied at the time of registration.
