NMAT 2022 Language Skills Preparation: Syllabus, Best Books, Sample Questions

NMAT 2022 Language Skills comprises of two main parts- Verbal Ability (VA ) and Reading Comprehension (RC). Out of 120 minutes, candidates must solve Language Skills questions in 28 minutes which is a little more than 1/5th of the total time. Similar to other sections of NMAT 2022 like NMAT Quantitative Skills and NMAT Logical Reasoning, no penalty of negative marking is applicable.

• The difficulty level of NMAT Language Skills sectional is usually moderate to high with around 3-4 passages from Reading Comprehension that are moderately difficult. 
• Out of the total 36 questions in this section, attempting about 24 - 28 questions would be an ideal attempt for Language skills.
• As per NMAT 2022 Syllabus, Verbal ability comprises topics like antonyms and synonyms, word usage, concepts of grammar, para jumbles, idioms, and phrases, etc.
• In order to secure the sectional cut-off, candidates should focus on NMAT Preparation by using the right strategy and NMAT Preparation Books.

NMAT 2022 Language Skills Syllabus

NMAT Syllabus is mainly divided into Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. While both these parts are important in order to score well in NMAT 2022 Language Skills section, However, Verbal ability has a total weightage of around 66% from this section.
