NMAT 2015 Pattern

NMAT is a computer based test conducted across the country for admission into management courses. NMAT 2015 is a not a self-performance based  test but it is a comparative test in which a candidate needs to perform well as compared to other aspirants in each of the 3 sections as the score of each section and the overall score will be considered for shortlisting the candidates for the further selection process.  If candidates got shortlisted in exam, they will call for Case discussion and Personal Interview.

There are four sections in the question paper and the sections are:

Section A- Language Skills

Section B- Quantitative Skills

Section C- Logical Reasoning

NMAT 2015 Exam Pattern has no negative marking and each question contain 1 mark. NMAT 2015 has 120 minutes for which one must focus on speed and accuracy. There will no descriptive type questions.

Features of NMAT 2015:

Computer Based Test:

NMAT 2015 is an Online Test. In NMAT 2015 each aspirant will get   a randomly generated exam from a pool of questions in which difficulty level, number of  questions and the time limit of each of the 3 sections is the same.

No Negative Marking:
There will be no negative marking in NMAT 2015 according to global practices and psychometric principles. Each question carries 1 mark and candidates will be shortlisted through overall and section wise scores.

Choice of attempts:
If candidates are not satisfied with their previous performance they have an option to retake the test. Candidates can retake NMAT 2015 for maximum 3 times.

Review Exam:

  • NMAT provides candidates with review screen for incomplete question at the end of each section. Separate time is allotted to each section and candidates need to complete answering the questions and reviewing the section within the allotted section time.
  • If candidates complete the section before the section time gets over, the balance time of the given section will not get added to the next section.

Section Order Selection:
Candidates can choose the order of section in NMAT 2015. Each section is allotted with specified time and candidates have to answer and review the questions of each section in the given time period.

Unique Question Paper:
NMAT 2015 has different but equivalent question paper for each candidate appearing for NMAT 2015.

Non —Disclosure Agreement:

  • Candidates will be presented with Non-Disclosure Agreement screen after the welcome screen has shown. Candidates have to accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement so that they can proceed.
  • Candidates need to click on "Yes, I accept" on NDA screen to start their test.
  • If any candidate clicks on "No, I do not accept" for any reason, he/she will be prompted to change the option and the candidate still chooses the "No, I do not accept", his/her test will. After that the candidate will not be able to resume the test that day under any circumstances.
