I completed my Engineering degree in India and applied to Canada & Netherlands for this Masters. Since I would like to get an abroad exposure and experience for my studies relating to my knowledge and to develop my skills. And I got the admission in both where I chose Canada over Netherlands. As I found this is student friendly and has welcoming people.
It was close to home, 4th best uni in Canada for psychology. lots of orientation events and tours of campus, I finished grade 12 with a 90% average. lots of school spirit. I applied to UW and WLU (Brantford and waterloo campus) and got into all three but chose UW because it is so prestigious and innovative.
I applied to 5 universities in Canada, 4 in Ontario and 1 in Alberta. I pinned down to Waterloo from (Trent, Ottawa, Queens) due to its wonderful co-op system and reviews by others. There was an application fee through the OUAC for every university. The process is simple, but I still went through an agent to help me better.
Because I wanted to gain some experience through the co-op program offered by the University Of Waterloo. The other thing that I really liked was how many extracurricular activities that are offered by this school which makes students active.
Co-op is the main reason for me choosing this school. It allows me to get the hands-on experience I need to have a future career in the field of science. Plus I get paid which will help me pay for my education.
Co-op because it is a program that lets you get work experience while learning which is very rewarding compared to the alternative of graduating with no work experience. Also, the University of Waterloo is known for its engineering program.
They have one of the best kinesiology programs in the country and they also have an outstanding co-op program that I am trying to transfer into. A close family friend is in their third year here and told me about how awesome it is here.
Co-op program at waterloo is internationally recognized as one of the best in the world, as it gives students real work experience during their studies, and also scholarships and bursaries they awarded me.
It's very close to home, so I can live with my family, I've always wanted to go into health and they had a lot of programs aimed at that. The programs were customizable as well, I could pick classes I am interested in.
A prestigious university that offers many resources for its students most importantly co-op opportunity that allows for workplace experience to better prepare for careers. Another reason for my choice of this school was the high success rate of its graduates.
