- The Master of Architecture is a two-year degree program. The program accepts applicants from pre-professional architecture programs, in which students are expected to have completed the majority of the courses required for professional accreditation.
- Students holding a pre-professional Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) from the University of Waterloo (or an equivalent degree to the BAS from
another university) can complete the Master of Architecture degree requirements in a minimum of three terms and up to a maximum of six terms. - All other students with a pre-professional Architecture degree admitted into the Master of Architecture will be required to complete two terms of transitional coursework in preparation for the thesis year and are expected to complete degree requirements in a maximum of six academic terms.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students require a four-year honors pre-professional undergraduate Architecture degree or professional Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minimum overall average of 75%.
- Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

- Official Transcripts: Students need to submit their copy of their original transcripts. Official transcripts are printed on security paper with the University of Waterloo seal and signature of the Registrar.
- Statement of Interest: Statement of interest is one of the few ways to describe that faculty have to understand the student's motivation, the seriousness of purpose, and their level of commitment to the discipline.
- Reference Letter: Students will choose letter writers that will be able to comment on their academic record as well as other experiences or relevant skill sets.
- CV/Resume: Students should probably provide a resume, a copy of their transcripts, as well as a copy of their statement of interest, and other relevant application material.
- English Language Requirement Scores like TOEFL, IELTS,..etc.
