Renison University College Undergraduate Admissions

Renison University College offers three UG programs-Social development Studies, Honours Arts & Business, and Honours Arts. Applicants must apply through the OUAC portal and submit the application fee of 130 CAD.

Admission Requirements

Renison University College Graduate Admissions

Renison University College offers a post-graduate program in Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a graduate program in Master of Social Work. To apply, applicants are required to an online application form along with 130 CAD application fee.

Note: References are only accepted if they are submitted in the online form, through the link sent by the Office of Graduate Studies. The supplemental information form requires the applicant to submit a study plan, which is an important part of the non-academic requirements of admission.

Study Permit for International Students

International applicants may require a permit to study in Canada. It is not exactly a visa but it allows international students to stay in Canada for the duration of their course.

To receive the study permit, applicants require the following documents:

  • An acceptance letter from the Canadian Institute.
  • An identity proof i.e a valid passport
  • 2 passport size photographs.
  • Proof of available finances
  • Letter of explanation (This will help the visa officer understand your intentions for going to Canada)

Currently, Canada is offering the Student Direct Stream to the legal citizens of a few countries (China, India, Philippines, and Vietnam). Through this, the applicants of these countries can receive their study permits within 20 days. To be eligible for this, applicants must:

  • provide proof of first-year tuition fee payment
  • have a GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) of 10,000 CAD
  • submit the report of medical exam
  • submit a police certificate

Once the applicants have submitted their Renison admission applications, they can check the status of their application at Quest. It generally takes 8-10 weeks for the officials to confirm decision on each application. Applicants will receive decision notification through an official mail.

Ques. What is the Admission Information Form (AIF)?

Ans. The Admission Information Form (AIF) gives the applicant an opportunity the opportunity to tell the college more about themselves and some extracurricular activities. However, it must be noted that some programs require it, some recommend it while some leave it up to the applicant.

Ques. Can I apply for more than one program at a time?

Ans. Yes. Applicants can apply to maximum 3 programs using a single application. However, applicants for engineering programs can only select one Engineering program.

Ques. Does it matter how I rank the subjects on the application?

Ans. No. The rank of programs on the application does not matter. Applicants will receive a decision for each program you have applied for.

Ques. Do domestic and international applicants have to complete different applications?

Ans. Applicants must apply through the OUAC portal. Current Ontario high school students must complete the OUAC 101 application. All other applicants must complete the OUAC 105 application.

Ques. Does Renison University College offer an early decision?
