Chandigarh BEd Admission 2023 are conducted by the Panjab University. Panjab University, Chandigarh conducts a common entrance test (CET) for admission to the BEd, BEd Yoga, and BEd Special Education (Intellectual Disability) courses in colleges affiliated with Panjab University. 

To be eligible for the Chandigarh BEd Admission 2023, candidates must secure 50% marks in their bachelor’s or master’s in Science/Social Science/Commerce/Humanities/Law or 55% marks in BTech degree or equivalent. Chandigarh BEd Admission 2023: Eligibility

  • Candidates must secure 50% marks in their bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science/Commerce/Humanities/Social Science/Law from a recognized board.
  • Candidates who have pursued BTech and have secured 55% marks are also eligible for Chandigarh BEd admission.
  • There is a relaxation in 5% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Seat reservation guidelines are laid out by the Chandigarh administration.
  • Applicants who are appearing for the final examination and the results have not been declared are also allowed to apply provisionally given that they submit the proof of result at the time of counseling.

Chandigarh BEd Admission 2023: Counselling

Applicants whose name appears in the final merit list are eligible to take part in the counseling process. During the process, applicants will be allocated institutes according to their rank on the merit list.

Two rounds of counseling will take place, the schedule for which will be notified by the University to eligible applicants. The counseling process will be done through virtual mode and document verification of applicants will also take place during the counseling process. The counseling will have the following steps.

  • Eligible applicants will be notified of the counseling schedule
  • After that, they will need to appear before the counseling committee on the specified date and time
  • Candidates will then be allotted seats based on their rank on the merit list
  • After that document verification will take place
  • Then they will need to report to the allocated institute to finish admission formalities

Ans. IGNOU offers a distance B.Ed program with a duration of 3 years. For pursuing B.Ed from IGNOU, the candidates need to meet the following eligibility criteria. The candidates should have minimum marks of 50% from a bachelor's degree or master’s degree with any stream (science/commerce/arts). The students who have successfully completed NCTE recognized teacher education courses in an offline mode can also apply. A diploma or trained in-service teacher is now an additional elementary education required for enrollment into B.Ed program in IGNOU. There is a 5% relaxation scheme for SC/ST and PWD candidates as per the guidelines of the central government. Entrance examination: For any candidates who wish to pursue B.Ed from IGNOU compulsory to appear for the entrance examination conducted by IGNOU. Without the entrance test, there is no acceptance for B.Ed admission. The final admission is based on the merit list with the consideration of the entrance score. Application procedure: Visit the original website of IGNOU and click on the declaration button to continue.
