Assam BEd Admission 2023: Eligibility

Applicants must check the Assam BEd eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. 

  • A minimum of 50% (for the general category) is required in graduation from a recognized university. 
  • Students of the reserved category are required to score a minimum of 45% marks in graduation.
  • There is no upper age limit for the Assam BEd admission.
  • Final year graduates or post graduates students are eligible to apply.

Ans. IGNOU offers a distance B.Ed program with a duration of 3 years. For pursuing B.Ed from IGNOU, the candidates need to meet the following eligibility criteria. The candidates should have minimum marks of 50% from a bachelor's degree or master’s degree with any stream (science/commerce/arts). The students who have successfully completed NCTE recognized teacher education courses in an offline mode can also apply. A diploma or trained in-service teacher is now an additional elementary education required for enrollment into B.Ed program in IGNOU. There is a 5% relaxation scheme for SC/ST and PWD candidates as per the guidelines of the central government. Entrance examination: For any candidates who wish to pursue B.Ed from IGNOU compulsory to appear for the entrance examination conducted by IGNOU. Without the entrance test, there is no acceptance for B.Ed admission. The final admission is based on the merit list with the consideration of the entrance score. Application procedure: Visit the original website of IGNOU and click on the declaration button to continue. Fill out the application form by entering the program code and further you will get an enrollment number for the login process. After logging in, the payment process can be done by clicking the submit button. IGNOU displays the hall ticket for the term-end entrance examination (TEE). The hall ticket can be downloaded by entering the program code and 9 digit enrollment number. Course fee: IGNOU charges a total of 50,000 amount course fees for 3 years of the B.Ed program. Cut-off: 50 candidates are taken for admission. Here is the detailed information of the expected IGNOU 2020 cut-off for the B.Ed program including all categories of students. Ans. A B.Ed from IGNOU has a similar value to a B.Ed through regular mode. The coursework is almost as taxing as a regular B.Ed. As for recruitment, your teaching skills will matter more than your institution. You can apply for private schools and Govt. jobs. You can get also get a job easily by contacting the IGNOU campus placement cell (CPC). You can get recruited in any IGNOU Regional Center (RC) or Study Centre (SC). Read more

Ans. IGNOU B.Ed total fee is around INR 50,000 . You shouldn’t pay the course fee along with your application. The university will contact you separately for the payment of fees.  You need to pay the course fee through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of IGNOU.
