It all depends on your skill. To be honest, I am still looking for a job. Jobs are much slower to find in Canada than in the US. They provide you with quick jobs if you have cooperative. I think the system is a bit biased. Anyway since I have 3 years of experience I am confident that I will cross it soon.

Internship

No, it's guaranteed if you have a co-op internship. Unfortunately, there was no co-operation in my course.

Ottawa is one of the most developed regions in Ontario province with a lot of Job opportunities related to computer fields. Therefore finding jobs would be easy as compared to other areas of Ontario.

Internship

No, I don't have any such experience.

There are many companies that allow for placements at Carleton University even long-distance ones that apply to all programs. Each job has different requirements and a different procedure but academic advising and co-op opportunities are available for help and an appointment can be requested via email or in-person to go through appropriate opportunities

Internship

Internships are available through individual props if you would like to get one of these positions all you have to do is get to know a professor and inquire about opportunities in their lab each prof will have different procedures. There are also many campus jobs that are posted online through Carlton Central where you can submit a resume to see if you are an appropriate fit. Average working hours depend on the job and eligibility as well.

There are career services and connections to be made on campus, you just have to know where to look. Lots of opportunities for future endeavors through guest speakers, events, other students, and sometimes professors.

Internship

Yes, however I have not had much experience engaging with the internships offered. I believe they host internships that are international as well as local. There is a committee or club that focuses on matching students to internships.

Internship

I am not aware of internship opportunities, but I do know that they offer jobs on campus. I myself have never had a job on campus. From what I have understood, they make your hours around your schedule which is very convenient for students as some individuals may feel they cannot get a job because employers are not able to base it around scheduled classes.

Good school for the program I wanted to take, and the city I study in is very big in the career path I'm hoping to take. Got a scholarship and an award, out of the 5 schools I got accepted to it was the highest amount of money. Wanted to go to this school since I knew I was going to university. I took law in high school and knew that was the path I wanted to take, and within the program, I am in I learn about so many interesting things.

It’s in Ottawa, which is very helpful for my major. So much history has happened here and is happening. I also really liked how close the campus is. It’s really contained but still big enough that you feel like you’re somewhere new.

I believe most on campus jobs are minimum wage, but some higher wages are available. For example, the mentor program was $15/hr. I believe it differs based on how involved the university is involved as the university supports these companies financially in most cases.

Internship

Yes, both. I had been a student mentor. You can apply for either opportunities online, easily. I was working 6 hrs/week and sometimes varied as I had to meet students after class hours too. I essentially was shadowing in a class, supported them emotionally and with their studies. Provided weekly reports/presentations in order to keep them posted on current events in and out of campus and to remind them of their resources.

Intermediateafter completion of masters degree it will take time to get a job. It totally depends on your skills and experience. If you have previous experience than it will be lot easier to get a job.

Internship

Carleton does not offer internship or coop in summer so students have to take a break in the summer or else they can find internships externally. You can get the internships by applying online on different websites

Great programs offered to the students. I was originally deciding against Ottawa University and Carleton then I Chose Carleton because they seem to focus a little more on the needs of the students and providing help where they can whereas you seemed to be on your own at Ottawa.
