5.7 /10

Great programs offered to the students. I was originally deciding against Ottawa University and Carleton then I Chose Carleton because they seem to focus a little more on the needs of the students and providing help where they can whereas you seemed to be on your own at Ottawa.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum is normally pretty fair. The workload can definitely be divided a bit better between the semester to ensure that the students aren't struggling as hard as when they are when all of the final assignments and exams are all at the same time.

Fees :

Tuition was very expensive and normally covered some basic things including a bus pass for students. People with cars, however, had to pay for parking passes which are not in good locations on very high levels of parking garages that don't have elevators and are very expensive. Also most of the textbooks were very expensive and a lot of classes required more than one book.

Examination Structure :

Exams are normally 3 hours or longer in length. The type of exam you get really depends on the teacher. I've had finals that were almost all multiple choice as well as finals that were almost all essay questions.

Faculty :

I have had a really good experience with the faculty of my school. I've had a lot of energetic outgoing professors who really help to engage students in the material.
