Sharda University, situated in Noida ranked 28 for Law by India Today 2020. Amity University, Noida ranked 20 for Law by The Week 2020.

Admissions:

Sharda University-

• Eligible candidates with 50% marks in 12th need to appear for the Sharda University Admission Test (SUAT) but candidates who have valid scores in CLAT/LSAT are eligible for direct admission.

• The selection process is followed by a personal Interview.

• Cut off for Sharda University is 50% marks in 12th to apply for SUAT for the candidates who did not appear in LSAT or CLAT.

Amity University-

• In the case of Amity University, the final selection of the Law candidates is done on the basis of an English Written Test, which is conducted by the University but candidates with 80% and above aggregates are eligible to direct admission.

• Amity requires candidates to clear the English written test, and candidates above 80% get direct admission.

At Sharda the total fees structure for B.A.LLB program is 8.6 Lakhs. Whereas, the fees structure for B.A. LLB program is 14.9 Lakhs in Amity.

Placement:

• Sharda University witnessed the highest salary package of 6.5 LPA and the lowest salary package of 3 LPA in last year's placement.

• The recruiting companies for Sharda University are Amazon.com, Aon Hewitt, HDFC Bank, CITI Bank, etc.

• Amity University witnessed the highest package of 6 lakhs per annum and the average placement of 3 lakhs per annum in the 2019 placement drive.

• AIS, Berger Paints, Dabur, Genpact, HCL Technologies, IBM are some of the top recruiters at IITM.

After comparing both Universities on the basis of five parameters, we can conclude that Sharda University is surely one of the best universities among the two for B.A. LLB program along with 28th rank by India Today. The fee structure for Sharda is also lower than Amity.

JIS College of Engineering (JISCE) is the 2nd branch of the JIS group of institutions. JISCE is considered to be a better institution than JIS University (JISU), for their placement record, faculty, etc. Candidates must have 60% in PCM in their 10+2 qualifying examinations to be eligible for admission. They should also have a valid WBJEE score.

Some points on JISCE being a better institution for BTech are as follows:

• JISCE follows a concept of 'Flip Learning,' a rare mode of learning which gives an advantage in placement than JISU. It is the first of its kind in West Bengal.

• At JISCE, about 140-150 CSE students got placed with Amazon, Capgemini and Wipro with an average package of 2.5-2.8 LPA. The highest package was INR 10 LPA offered by BYJUs. Over 80% of students got placed in 2020.

• The major recruiters at JISU are Bandhan Bank, Cipla, and Flipkart.

• JISCE has better lab facilities than JISU. It has over 57 laboratories with better infrastructure and are fully wifi enabled.

• The CSE department of the JISCE promotes Digital Learning to save paperwork, keeping in alignment with the digital age.

• JIS College of Engineering has a highly qualified faculty of over 20-25 members. They are better compared to JIS University.

The only negative point is that the campus life is boring at JISU, and ragging is rampant as well.There are many colleges under the JIS group and if you compare JIS colleges with others in terms of faculty, placements, salary packages offered, JISCE gets the first position.

Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) is one of the oldest engineering colleges in the state and ranks 4th in Mumbai by NIRF ranking 2020. The total faculty strength consists of 110 members. 

Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering (CRCE) is a private engineering college affiliated to the Mumbai University. It consists of 53 accomplished, supportive faculty members, including 15 PhD holders. 

Admission process: 

TSEC

• The admission in BTech needs to have at least 45% marks in 10+2 with a secured rank in MHT CET or JEE Main. 
• The cutoff required in JEE Main is in the range of 1275 - 10148.
• The cutoff required in MHT-CET is the range of 119 - 151.
• The total seats allocated is 180.
• The fees required is INR 1.64 LPA

CRCE

• The admission in BTech needs to have at least 45% marks in 10+2 with a secured rank in MHT CET or JEE Main. 
• The cutoff required in JEE Main is in the range of 1513 - 8899.
• The cutoff required in MHT-CET is the range of 124 - 145.
• The total seats allocated is 240.
• The fees required is INR 5.86 LPA 

Placements:

• Since 2018, TSEC college provides 100% placements for the CSE students in top-notch companies. The highest package offered by Amazon was INR 40 LPA in 2018.
• The overall placements in CRCE is good as CSE students get 100% placement every year. The highest package offered by Microsoft is INR 17.5 LPA in 2019.

Faculty

Both the colleges have more than 50 professors in each of the departments including support staff. All of the faculties are professional and cooperative towards the students. 

Facilities

• The college has a massive network of approx 50 square feet professional ground for cricket, football and other sports activities. 
• The library of both the colleges have 15 dedicated computers with access for students and faculties. 
• The colleges have well-equipped laboratories for each department. 

CRCE institute is much better than TSEC in terms of crowd, location, placements, faculties, library service, etc.

While both National Law University (NLU) Trichy and NMIMS School of Law are well-established schools for BA LLB, one does various comparisons of different parameters like eligibility, fee structure, placement as well as course curriculum when it comes to deciding between the two colleges. • This is a 5-year course with ten semesters provided for students to learn diverse subjects related to the field of law.

• Other compulsory subjects include economics, political science, corporate law, history, etc.

NMIMS School of Law:

• In this 5 year course, students will be provided with an opportunity to study law along with humanities.
• Core subjects offered in this course include political science, economics, sociology, history, etc.
• Students will also be exposed to developmental subjects like critical thinking, moot court, professional ethics and legal writing.
• The course is mainly divided into modules spread out over a span of ten semesters.

Placements:

NLU Trichy:

• Students are compulsorily made to participate in internships for which they are provided with a stipend from employers like Mahindra and Mahindra, Infosys, Indian Overseas, etc.
• The highest package offered for BA LLB students is INR 65,000 per month with an average salary of INR 35,000 per month.

NMIMS School of Law:

• Students are actively asked to join internships in order to boost their careers with the help of the placement cell.
• Companies like Juris Corp, Economics Law, Edelweiss, and DSK legal recruit students with an average salary of INR 6 lakhs per annum and highest salary of INR 16 lakhs per annum.

Both institutes are good for pursuing BA LLB and are relatively new. Students can take a decision based on the aspects discussed above and any other they wish to consider.

KIIT and Sharda University are two well-known UGC approved universities and belong to the same league of educational institutions in our country, especially in the domain of engineering. B.Tech. at these institutions is a popular programme and the universities offer a substantial number of seats for the same.

• Sharda University: The modern campus is spread across 63 acres of land and provides facilities such as hostels, stores, pharmacy, hospital, transport, library, gym, laundry, salon, community radio, IT department, student activity centre, cafeteria, etc.

• KIIT: The university provides a plethora of facilities, including 52 conference and banquet halls, 40 open-air theatres, a post office, guesthouse, convention centre, sports complex, transport, medical care, stores, labs, cafeteria, hostels, library, etc.

• Sharda University: Scholarships are provided on the basis of academic and sports merit, exam scores, and to the wards of Defence personnel and siblings of Sharda students.

• KIIT: Scholarships are provided on the basis of merit and need. Students with the top 500 ranks in KIITEE are also offered scholarships.

Placement Statistics

• Sharda University: 91% B.Tech. graduates were offered jobs through placements. The highest and median package offered was 65 LPA and 3 LPA, respectively. Top recruiting companies include Airtel, Adobe, Reliance Jio, HCL, Capgemini, Barclays.

• KIIT: 90% of students were placed in companies like Accenture, Amazon, HCL, Cognizant, Deloitte, Capgemini, etc. The highest and average package offered was 30 LPA and 6.5 LPA, respectively.
