JIS College of Engineering (JISCE) is the 2nd branch of the JIS group of institutions. JISCE is considered to be a better institution than JIS University (JISU), for their placement record, faculty, etc. Candidates must have 60% in PCM in their 10+2 qualifying examinations to be eligible for admission. They should also have a valid WBJEE score.
The table given below gives some factual information on both institutions:

Some points on JISCE being a better institution for BTech are as follows:
JISCE follows a concept of 'Flip Learning,' a rare mode of learning which gives an advantage in placement than JISU. It is the first of its kind in West Bengal.
At JISCE, about 140-150 CSE students got placed with Amazon, Capgemini and Wipro with an average package of 2.5-2.8 LPA. The highest package was INR 10 LPA offered by BYJUs. Over 80% of students got placed in 2020.
The major recruiters at JISU are Bandhan Bank, Cipla, and Flipkart.
JISCE has better lab facilities than JISU. It has over 57 laboratories with better infrastructure and are fully wifi enabled.
The CSE department of the JISCE promotes Digital Learning to save paperwork, keeping in alignment with the digital age.
JIS College of Engineering has a highly qualified faculty of over 20-25 members. They are better compared to JIS University.
The only negative point is that the campus life is boring at JISU, and ragging is rampant as well. There are many colleges under the JIS group and if you compare JIS colleges with others in terms of faculty, placements, salary packages offered, JISCE gets the first position.
SPJIMR is superior to IIM Lucknow. Of course, IIM Lucknow is a larger and more well-known brand, but the program and course structure at SPJIMR is excellent. They have an updated curriculum that is in line with industry demands.
The small batch size is a significant advantage at SPJIMR. The student-teacher ratio is favorable, and interaction between the two is required. They have ethics-based learning, a rural internship program with an NGO, and a 3-week course for the entire batch at top business schools in the United States. All in all, it is a well-designed course. Because of the Batch size advantage, the average placements are also better. After all, placements are important. But it all comes down to personal preference. You could make a reference to a larger brand. Non-MBAs/aspirants may be unaware of the opportunities available at SP Jain. However, you can rest assured that your MBA journey at SPJIMR will be fruitful.

While both National Law University (NLU) Trichy and NMIMS School of Law are well-established schools for BA LLB, one does various comparisons of different parameters like eligibility, fee structure, placement as well as course curriculum when it comes to deciding between the two colleges. The following points highlight these aspects of the program at both institutes:

Both institutes are good for pursuing BA LLB and are relatively new. Students can take a decision based on the aspects discussed above and any other they wish to consider.
Among the two campuses, SRM Ghaziabad is older than SRM Sonepat. As a result, the brand value and alumni of SRM Ghaziabad are also better.SRM Sonepat is also a decent choice. The best part of the institute is its placement along with training, which adds value to the overall value of your resume and makes getting a job very easy.
As far as CSE is concerned, both the campsites have equally good infrastructure and well-equipped labs. Still, your first preference should be Ghaziabad.
Choosing between two colleges can be a difficult decision, and it ultimately depends on various factors such as your passion to learn and attain knowledge, personal preferences, career goals, and individual circumstances.
Here are some key points to consider when comparing the B.Tech Computer Science programs at TKM College of Engineering (TKMCE) and Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT):
Both TKMCE and CUSAT offer quality B.Tech Computer Science programs, and the decision ultimately depends on your personal preferences and career goals. It's recommended to research and compare the colleges based on the factors mentioned above and make an informed decision.
I completed my BTech CSE from NIT Manipur in 2021. NITs consistently perform well in terms of placements. NITs fees are much lower compared to SRMIST and other private engineering colleges.
For your convenience, I have compiled the 2023 placement figures of all these colleges:
Parameters | NIT Manipur | *NIT Mizoram | NIT Sikkim | SRMIST Chennai (2024 Placements ongoing) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Highest/Average Package | Highest: INR 47 LPA Average: INR 9.7 LPA (2022 placements) |
- | Average: INR 8.50 LPA | Highest: 57 LPA (2023) Average: 6.88 LPA |
Total Offers | 147 | - | - | 9,011 (2023) |
No. of Companies Visited | 37 | 30 | - | 1,311 (2023) |
Top Recruiters | Amazon, Discovery, EDFORA, INCREFF, Veritas, Trellix, among others. | Virtusa, Optum-UGH, KEC International Ltd, C-DOT, Intellipaat, etc. | Bosch, Capgemini, CGI, TCS, Deloitte, Wipro, Infosys, Aarti Industries Limited, etc. | Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, ICICI Bank, IBM, Axis Bank, Berger, etc. |
*The 2023 placement figures might have increased for NIT Mizoram.
NIT Manipur has the best placement figures among the three NITs. As per NIRF 2023 Engineering Ranking, NIT Manipur ranks 95th, while NIT Sikkim ranks in the 151-200 bracket.
NITs are “Institutes of National Importance''. NITs are government colleges. They come next in line to IITs for their high brand value. Though SRM Chennai is a well-known college, it does not carry the same reputation as the IITs and NITs. Due to these factors, I had decided to pursue BTech CSE from NIT Manipur.
CGC Landran and NIET Noida both offer Computer Science Engineering, however, there are a number of discrepancies that come into the picture when it comes to comparing the course at each university. The following points elaborate on the areas of eligibility, fee structure, placements, and faculty.

Most students are known to consider CGC Landran due to its well-known placement rate. Students should highly consider this point if they are especially looking for jobs post their degree. Other than this, fees and placement companies are points where CGC Landran tops NIET.
