NIT Silchar is a far better option than both NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram. There are a number of strong reasons that support my claim I have listed the most important ones
So, it’s advisable to give preference to NIT Silchar over NIT Agartala and NIT Mizoram due to the above reasons.
When considering admission to a college, it's important to think about various factors, such as location, faculty, exposure, and opportunities for career growth. Let's take a closer look at NIT Mizoram and whether it's a good choice for you.
However, it's also important to keep in mind that your chances of getting a good job or succeeding in your career don't just depend on the college you attend. It's up to you to put in the effort and take advantage of the resources available to make the most of your college experience.
Private colleges in bigger cities may offer more opportunities for internships, networking, and exposure to various industries, which could increase your chances of finding a good job after graduation. However, it's important to consider the cost of attending private colleges in bigger cities, which may be significantly higher than attending a college like NIT Mizoram.
NIT Mizoram is one of the new NITs that was established in 2010. The MHRD recognizes NITs as institutes of national importance. You may already be aware of the NIT brand, which will help you in your future career. Being a student here myself, I can say that NIT Mizoram over other private institutes will undoubtedly be a better choice.
Despite the fact that NIT Mizoram is often looked down upon due to its remote location, this place has its own flavor. So, in all NIT Mizoram is one of the best institutes we have in India.
One of my friends completed his Engineering from NIT Raipur recently and I think his review will help you in choosing one between NIT Raipur and NIT Mizoram.
In my opinion, NIT Raipur is much better than NIT Mizoram.
Both the National Institute Of Technology Sikkim and National Institute Of Technology Mizoram has good placement. I have a few friends from both institutes, and I was able to get the placement information from them. Here are the recent placement highlights for both institutes.
Parameters | NIT Sikkim | NIT Mizoram |
Average CTC | 8 LPA | 7.11 LPA |
Highest CTC | 18 LPA | 12 LPA |
Lowest CTC | 5 LPA | 5 LPA |
Major recruiters | Intel, Wipro, HP, Xerox, Tata Consultancy Services, Microsoft, etc. | Yodlee Envestnet, Capgemini, L&T, ECC, Vedanta, etc. |
The only difference the institutes have in their placements is due to the different student intake, importance imposed in practical-based learning, etc.
Your decision completely depends on your priority as to what is the most important to you, the branch or the college. Being a graduate from NIT Agartala, I would suggest you go for NIT Agartala rather than NIT Mizoram.
Categories | Production Engineering at NIT Agartala | ECE at NIT Mizoram |
Course Fee | 6.31 lakh | 5.43 lakh |
Highest CTC | 8-10 LPA | 6-7 LPA |
Average CTC | 5.5 LPA | 3.5 - 4 LPA |

Both branches are equally good in their own ways. But ultimately it is your decision to choose where you want to study. It is suggested that you go for NIT Agartala as it is a more experienced institution than NIT Mizoram.
