I am a second-year student of ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar.
I think you can go for B.Tech ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar. Even though DTU is a reputed institute, it is mostly known in the Northern parts of India. On the other hand, IIT Bhubaneswar carries the IIT tag, which is recognised nationally and globally.
As a central institution, IIT Bhubaneswar has a more diverse crowd as compared to DTU (also because DTU has a huge Delhi quota). This allows for a better exposure and exchange of values. This will in turn, help you in your profession when dealing with people from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds.
ECE is as good a branch as CoE/CSE, and you can easily get a job at an IT firm by learning coding on the side. Moreover, ECE students are allowed to sit for a large number of IT companies during placements.
Here’s a comparison between IIT Bhubaneswar and DTU for your reference:

Since the placements at both the institutions are good, I would recommend you consider the other factors and choose B.Tech ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar.
While many might suggest you go for DTU CS, and not run after the IIT tag, my opinion may vary. Had I been in your place, I would have chosen IIT Delhi any day over DTU because the exposure, opportunities, brand value, research opportunities, and top-notch education that come with it are worth a few boring Textile Courses.
Most importantly, IIT Delhi allows you to take electives in the field of your choice and you can always opt for CS electives for better placements. Some common courses undertaken by students who opt for non-core placements are
With the right balance of basic textile education and these courses, you can avail of both, CS education as well as IIT tag. However, you will have to study some courses in which you are least interested, thereby wasting your time. This sacrifice is justifiable when you keep in mind the CS faculty of IIT Delhi which is far better than DTU.
I am an MBA student at IBS Gurgaon. I can only talk about my institution.
For an MBA, IBS Gurgaon offers good faculty and placements, and an affordable fee structure. The IBS Case Research Centre is the 3rd largest CASE Developer in the world.
IBS follows a case-based approach to teaching management students. This approach allows students to learn about the real industry requirements and helps them look beyond the prescribed syllabus.
If a student does not get admission into IIMs for education, he/she can prefer IBS Gurgaon as the next best option in terms of ROI and academics. Some of the top companies that recruit management students from IBS Gurgaon are- Deloitte, KPMG, Amazon and Google, among others. Moreover, IBS Gurgaon offers a strong alumni network for its management students.
Based on these factors, I would recommend you to choose IBS Gurgaon over LPU for your business and management studies.
IIM Rohtak has been ranked at an impressive 12th rank in NIRF 2023 rankings. People have doubts about joining IIM Rohtak as it stands below the top IIMs. However, IIM Rohtak is rapidly growing and achieving new heights and you should not worry about choosing IIM Rohtak for your studies.
The IPM is a 5-year integrated management program at IIM Rohtak. On completion of this program, you will receive a BBA+MBA degree. If you attain a 5.0 CGPA in your first three years, then only will you be eligible to continue for the next two years for your MBA. Otherwise, you will exit the program with a BBA degree with a CGPA not below 4.0.
Even if you wish to exit the course after 3 years, you can do so by informing the office within the stipulated time in the third year of the course. Instead of joining another institution for your BBA and then trying for IIM A/B/C through your CAT, you should join the IPM program at IIM Rohtak. Even if you do not score as much in your CAT, you will have the backup plan of completing your MBA from IIM Rohtak (in this case you will get a single CAT attempt in November third year). Most students from the IPM program at IIM Rohtak give their CAT or GMAT in the third year. So if you wish to switch to another higher-ranking IIM or go for a foreign MBA, you can do so.
The IIM Rohtak campus offers all the facilities to its students and you will also enjoy life at Rohtak in general. Rohtak is only 70 km away from Delhi so the international airport is only an hour or two’s drive from the IIM Rohtak campus.
The cost for the course is around INR 36 Lakhs, which is on the expensive side. However, you also get to stay at IIM for 5 years and learn from some of the best teachers in India.
You can consider the fee structure, placements, and other aspects before joining the program. However, if you do make up your mind, the IPM course at IIM Rohtak is a good choice.
Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar is better than Naval and Architecture Engineering at IIT Madras. I have limited knowledge about IIT Madras, but I can guide you through IIT Bhubaneswar.
Talent is not what companies seek, they wish to hire someone with average talent just to sell their products.
There is a training period given to someone who gets recruited as a fresher, and that costs money to the company and to recover that, they have a certain period of work assigned to the employee. Even though Cognizant doesn't have a bond, they have something similar.
If you were extremely talented, you wouldn't want to work for a client where your task involves running a SQL query, or preparing reports or even fixing bugs or testing if on a page all buttons are working or not.
You will want to leave as soon as possible which they don't want. So they hire people with an average IQ, those who can do the required tasks when they want and don't argue much.
It’s difficult to answer this type of question. In any case, you have to weigh a number of things before making a decision.
To summarise, spend some time analyzing your likely scores for next year and conducting a study into the opportunities you may have. And whatever you choose, stick to it and work as hard as you possibly can.
IIT Bhubaneswar CSE is better. It is an older institute with a bigger alumni base. According to the highlights of IIT Bhubaneswar placements 2022, CSE had an average CTC of INR 22.40 LPA. While the highest CTC received by the student of the branch was INR 44 LPA. The placement rate was INR 98.15%.
BITS Hyderabad, which is affiliated under BITS Pilani, ranked 30th by NIRF amongst top engineering colleges in India, is very well renowned for computer science. While IIT Dharwad hasn't been ranked yet by NIRF.
