Which is better for CSE, IIT Ropar or IIT Bhubaneswar?

IIT Bhubaneswar CSE has an edge over IIT Ropar due to many reasons. First of all IIT Ropar is among the newly formed IITs. Secondly, the coding culture at IIT Bhubaneswar is far better as compared to IIT Ropar and the placement scenario for CSE at IIT Bhubaneswar is better than IIT Ropar. In 2019, there was 91.89% placement from CSE at IIT Ropar, however, for IIT Bhubaneswar it was 100%.

Also, relying on the NIRF ranking (2019), IIT Bhubaneswar is placed at an overall rank of 17, while IIT Ropar is ranked 29. IIT Bhubaneswar also holds a number of Tech fests for the students in the CSE department. However, the only thing it lacks is a considerable shortage of faculty members in some departments (including CSE). This is not the case in IIT Ropar.

Besides, the alumni from IIT Bhubaneswar have successfully been able to secure their placement in high echelons of elite companies including Google and Facebook. Others have opted for further studies in reputed universities of the world like Stanford University, New South Wale University, University of Tokyo including other eminent institutes. On the contrary, IIT Ropar does not have a large number of alumni since it is a new IIT.
