- GATE CSE Question Paper includes 65 questions carrying 100 marks. The exam is held as a computer-based test for a duration of 3 hours (180 min).
- GATE CSE is one of the most popular subjects in GATE exam with over 1 lakh applications each year. 115458 candidates registered for GATE CSE last year, 77257 appeared for the exam while only 12725 candidates qualified the exam. This is only 16.47% of the total applicants.

GATE CSE 2023- Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates planning to appear for GATE CSE 2023 must refer to the detailed eligibility criteria before applying.
- As per the revised GATE eligibility criteria, the minimum qualification needed for the candidates to give the exam is 10+2+3 allowing final year undergraduate students to also appear for the test.
- Candidates who have passed or pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology or Post Graduation in a relevant discipline will be considered eligible for the course.
- There is no upper age limit to apply for GATE 2023.
GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria for International Students: International students living in countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, Shri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) can also appear for GATE 2023. Such students must have completed or pursuing final year studies or in the pre-final year of their bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology or equivalent.
