SCERT Delhi will release the Delhi DElEd 2023 application forms by the 3rd week of July on the official website. Delhi DElEd admission is done on the basis of Delhi DElEd CBT exam. As per the tentative schedule, Delhi DElEd CBT exam will be conducted in August 2023. 

DElEd is a two years diploma course offered by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). Through state counseling, SCERT Delhi offers admission in 2 year DElEd and DPSE courses. Also Check: DElEd Admission 2023

SCERT will be conducting admission in government colleges. Over 1,000 candidates are enrolled every year for this course. Out of 1040 seats, 20 seats are allotted to students who apply for the Urdu language and 40 seats for the candidates who opt for the Punjabi language as a medium of teaching. Admissions are done on a merit basis. The merit list is prepared on the basis of class 12 exam scores.

Delhi DElEd Admission Process 2023

Candidates seeking admission to this course have to follow below steps for application registration form:

  • Candidates have to apply online for this course on its official site.
  • Candidates need to fill all the required details like Name, Parents Name, DOB, gender as per their matriculation certificate.
  • Candidates need to fill their categories as per the instructions. However, initially, all the candidates will be in the general merit list irrespective of the category.
  • Candidates have to pay the fee of Rs. 250 as a registration fee.
  • Select the quota i.e., qualifying examination from Delhi to other than Delhi(OP) pass out or from Delhi to pass out (DP).
  • Candidates have to select any one of the above quotas as they have to be separated on 85% and 15% seats Criteria.
  • Candidate needs to attach a full proper and clear signature.
  • The percentage should be calculated as per the instructions given.
  • Candidates should verify every information. Incorrect Information will strictly lead to rejection of the application.

Delhi DElEd Admission 2023: Eligibility

Applicants need to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the DElEd course. Failing to clear any point will lead to rejection of the application.

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised Board or university. Minimum percentage required is 50%.
  • Matriculation grades also hold equal weightage. Calculation of the percentage at that standard should be calculated by the prescribed formula.
  • Candidates applying for Urdu/Punjabi language should calculate marks of both these languages in their 10th and 10+2 level.
  • To apply in this course, the candidate must have passed Urdu/Punjabi language in their both matriculation and intermediate level.
  • Maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 24 years.
  • Age relaxation as per the categories is applicable.

  • Original and self-attested copies of the qualifying examination.
  • Category certificate(If applicable)
  • A candidate seeking admission from NIOS or any other distance learning mode have to bring in the required certificate.
  • Medical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS/BAMS doctor.

Delhi DElEd Admission 2023: Counselling Process

  • There will be three merit lists according to that candidate can seek admission to their respective colleges.
  • Candidates are required to deposit INR 1,000 for participating in the Counselling Process.
  • A candidate once admitted to any college will not be able to withdraw the admission.
  • After completion of all the rounds if the seats remain vacant, then the authority can release one more merit list.

Delhi DElEd Admission 2023: Reservation

  • 85% of the seats are reserved for the Delhi students who have passed their qualifying examination from the centre located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
  • 15% of seats are opened for other state students.
