Sarala Birla University (SBU) is a self-financed private university in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Legislative Assembly of Jharkhand established the university in 2017 by virtue of the Sarala Birla University Act. 2017 (Jharkhand Act. 13, 2017).

Sarala Birla University offers B.Tech, BA, B.Sc, B.Com, Bachelor in Yoga and Natural Therapy. At postgraduate level, the university offers MBA and Master in Yoga & Naturotherapy.

Admission to MBA program will be offered on the basis of a valid score in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT score.
Admission to all other programs will be granted on the basis of SBU Entrance Test.

SBU currently operates four academic schools, viz., School of Engineering & Technology, School of Commerce & Management, School of Social Science & Humanities, and School of Yoga & Naturopathy.

SBU offers the two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) under the School of Commerce and Management. During the third semester, students get the option to choose any two specialization areas as Major and Minor: Finance, Marketing, and Human Resource.

SBU Ranchi MBA Eligibility

MBA Applicants should have three-year graduation from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for reserved category candidates).
They should also have a valid CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT score.
Candidates who have not taken any of the above-mentioned entrance tests must appear for the SBU Entrance Test.

SBU Rachi B.Tech Admission 2023

Sushila Birla University offers four Year-B.Tech Degree under the School of Engineering and Technology in five different specialization options:

Mechanical Engineering.

SBU also offers options of lateral entry into the second year B.Tech degree to eligible candidates.

SBU Ranchi B.Tech Eligibility

B.Tech applicants should have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% in 10+2 with Physics and Maths as compulsory and either one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject as optional subjects.

Diploma holder in relevant discipline with minimum 45% score.Or completed B.Sc. Degree with minimum 45% score and studied Math in the 10+2 level will be eligible for admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry.

SBU Ranchi B.Tech Selection Criteria

Students should have also qualified either a National/ State-level entrance test.
Candidates who have not undertaken any of the afore-mentioned entrance tests are required to appear for the SBU Entrance Test in order to be considered eligible for admission.
Selection for admission into B.Tech is done by SBU on the basis of merit in qualifying exam and entrance test score.

SBU, under its School of Engineering and Technology also offers the three-year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) program.

SBU Ranchi Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy Admission 2023

The three-year Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy is a unique program developed by SBU in alignment with the UGC-CBCS scheme. The program is offered through the School of Yoga and Naturopathy. Candidates who wish to pursue a shorter duration program in the said field can opt to pursue the one-year Diploma in Yoga and Physical Trainer program soon after qualifying senior secondary level examination.[18]

Under the School of Yoga and Naturopathy, SBU offers the two-year Master of Yoga and Naturopathy at the postgraduate level. Graduates having a PG Diploma in Yoga will be considered eligible for lateral entry into the second year/ third semester of the Master’s program.[20]

SBU Ranchi Diploma Engineering Eligibility

The basic eligibility for admission is passed in 10th or Secondary Examination with a 35% score in aggregate. For such candidates, they should have qualified the State-level Polytechnic Entrance Test/ SBU Entrance Test.

Candidates who fulfill either of the following conditions are eligible to apply for a Lateral Entry into the second year of Diploma Engineering.

Class 12th with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory and Mathematics/ Biology as optional subjects. Or 12th Science (with Mathematics)/ 12th Science with Vocational/ 12th Science with Technical. Or 10th followed by 2 years of ITI Training in relevant discipline.

Selection for admission into Engineering Diploma is done by a valid score in State-level Polytechnic Entrance Test/ SBU Entrance Test.

Merit-based scholarship options for deserving students are available at Sushila Birla University.
At the UG level, up to 100% fee waiver on tuition fees only in all semesters is allowed to students with varying academic merit.
Merit scholarship of up to 100% in tuition fees only in all semesters is available to MBA students with either exemplary academic merit or performance in the entrance test.
SBU Students can also avail of scholarship options through the e-Kalyan scheme of the Government of Jharkhand.

SBU is a private university located in Jharkhand. To apply to this college, you have to least a 12th pass(10th pass for diploma courses). The admission fee is 10k as registration fees and per semester 35k. The college provides internal scholarships for those who scored 8 cgpa+. Also provides internal scholarship on some basis.
