IIT BHU Scholarship

IIT BHU offers a variety of scholarships for its meritorious & needy students and the students belonging to SC/ST category to promote seamless education among the students enrolled in the UG and PG programs offered by IIT BHU. Some of the most popular scholarships offered at the institute are mentioned below.

Merit Cum Means Scholarships:

IIT BHU offers the MCM students to only 25% of the students admitted across UG and PG programs.
In order to be eligible for the Merit Cum Means Scholarship, a student should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th standard and the annual family income should not exceed INR 6 lakhs.
The full tuition fee is exempted from the payment as a scholarship award.

National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students - Scholarship (Formally Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for ST Students):

The National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education are specially designated to the students belonging from the Scheduled Tribes and are pursuing higher studies such as M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees in Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology in the regular and full-time mode. Also, about 750 slots of the scholarships/fellowships under this scheme are offered to the students of ST every year for all the subjects.

My experience in IIT BHU

The fee structure in this is based on both reservation and family income. The scholarship opportunities are more for the person getting better marks and some scholarship opportunities are based on reservations and marks. some scholarship opportunities are based on family income and marks in previous year's exams Until now I don't get any scholarships. I am a first-year student that's why I didn't get campus jobs also.

The fees varies according to your family income, in general the fees is 1,25,000 for each semester and an additional 15,000 mess fees. the academic fees consists of your hostel fees as well which is as low as 50 rupees per month. Apart form this you will get waiver on fees as per your family income, if it is less than 5 lakh per annum, you get 2/3rd fee waiver and if it is less than 1lakh you will get complete scholarship.

There is no fee hike policy if your parent's yearly income is between one to five lakh reduced to one-third of the fees conclusion the average package of our branch is thirty lakhs and the highest will be near one crore.

The fee structure is very simple. For general and OC students, The total fee per semester is 3 lakhs. If you are a student of the OBC creamy layer category, you will get a 40 per cent reduction in fees. And, if you are of the OBC NCL or ST category, you will get 100% fee reimbursement. We can get various scholarships such as NSP scholarship and reliance digital scholarship here.

Fees for every semester throughout the BTech is the same but it is a bit high for us. I was not eligible for any scholarship since my parents are govt employees. Up to now, there are no scholarships as per knowledge-based.

The fee structure of IIT is made public you can check the respective website but it will mostly be around 1.5Lp per semester for general students having more than 5 lpa family income for category students there are some fee waivers like not tuition fee

I have not seen the fee hike much but the cost to study is good for category students for general you have to pay a little higher but there are scholarships that you can avail of. There are state scholarships and academic scholarships given by colleges.

My experience in 1st year of IIT(BHU) Varanasi

The fee structure is different for every cast for gen and obc it is about 2.5 lakhs per annum but for SC ST it is about 50,000. SC ST doesn't have to pay their tution fee. And mess fee is 15000 per semester and it is given to the mess.
