The candidates must have a
- BE/ BTech with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution Or BSc/ Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Planning/ MSc/ MCA/ MBBS/ MPharm/ BPharm/ BDS/ or any other degree recognized equivalent to BE/ BTech with at least 60% aggregate

Course Details
At postgraduate level, IIT Varanasi offers M.Tech and M.Pharm programs to the candidates. M.Tech course is provided under 30 different specializations and the M.Pharm program is offered with 4 different specializations. The duration of the full-time M.Tech and M.Pharm courses is two years.
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech and M.Pharm program must hold a degree in the related discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree. For the SC/ST candidates, minimum 55% marks or CGPA/CPI of 5.5 in 10-point scale (without rounding off) in the qualifying degree is required.
Admissions to the M. Tech program are made through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institutes of Technology followed. For M.Pharm program, candidates need to go through GPAT (Graduate Aptitude Pharmacy Test) and Counselling.
