IIT Madras MTech Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have successfully completed a minimum of 2 semesters in the MTech program. The candidate should have a minimum CGPA of 8.0 in the prescribed courses. IIT Madras MTech Selection Criteria

GATE 2024 COAP Registration Process
After passing the GATE entrance exam, candidates are to register for the COAP counselling process to secure their admission into IITs, NITs, and other participating institutes. COAP provides a common platform for the registered candidates to make the most preferred choice for admission into an M.Tech. Program in the participating Institutes.
Eligibility Criteria to Register for COAP 2024
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates should have a valid GATE score from 2024/ 2023/2022/2021.
GATE 2024 COAP Step by Step Registration Process:
The candidates can successfully apply for GATE COAP 2024 by simply following the below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of COAP @ coap.iitd.ac. and click on the registration link.
Step 2: Fill in details such as their GATE Registration Number, GATE Paper Code, GATE score, date of birth.
Step 3: Click on the “Validate” icon and enter the registered email id and mobile number.
Step 4:Click on the “Submit to Register” button.
Step 5: After the registration is successfully done for COAP 2024, the candidates will obtain a Login ID and Password for COAP Login. The same will be sent via Email and SMS.
Step 6: The COAP registration will only be considered as complete only if the candidates log in using the Login ID and Password and verify the registration details.
Step 7: After the completion of the above-given steps, the candidate can access the information on offers made from the participating Institutes.
Step 8: In the end, the admission offer will be uploaded at COAP website and will be tagged with a COAP registration number (same as GATE registration number without subject code).

IIT Madras MTech Fees 2023-24
IIT Madras MTech fees vary for each category of student. For the GEN/ OBC category students, INR 19050 is payable to accept admission. On the other hand, INR 14050 is payable for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates to confirm admission. In case a candidate withdraws his/her offer of Admission, a Processing Fee of INR 5000 will be retained by the institute and the remaining amount would be refunded. If a candidate withdraws the offer of admission made in the Additional Round or after the 15 days of admission, no fee will be refunded. IIT Madras MTech Internships
MTech students are permitted to do a three-month industrial summer internship at the end of their second semester. Students were trained before the internship programs by the training cell and experts. IIT Madras MTech Scholarship
- DAE-GF Scheme: Department of Atomic Energy- Graduate Fellowship (DAE-GF) is a scholarship program for MTech students. GATE qualified candidates selected under the scheme receive INR 35,000 per month as a fellowship. On completion of the MTech degree from IIT Madras, scheme fellows will be placed in one the DAE units. The basic eligibility for the scheme is:
