I have a few friends from the Mathematics department of Pondicherry University. Here is what they had to say about the department.

The Mathematics block is known as the Ramanujan School of Mathematical Sciences.

The school aims to impart quality academics to students in different sections of Mathematics and Statistics, through different post-graduate study programs in Mathematics and Statistics.

These two departments of the school have an extremely qualified faculty, alongside a well-established infrastructure with the inclusion of decent laboratories. The institute also has excellent computing facilities.
The research activity that’s being carried out as of now is in various emerging disciplines.
Students, in addition, also secure placements in several MNCs.
