KJSAC (KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce) is one of the premier institutions that was established in the year 1959. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by UGC. It has also been credited NAAC Grade “A” and has over 50 years of excellence.

At present, KJSAC is offering various UG, PG Courses namely, BA, B.Com, MA, and M.Com. The college also offers a doctoral-level program to offer Ph.D. degrees. KJSAC Admissions

The admission process for all the undergraduate and postgraduate programs happens on merit basis except in case of MA. For MA courses admission, candidates will have to appear for an entrance test conducted by the University if they have graduation in some or other field or if they do not belong to this University. The admission process for Ph.D. differs from both levels as it demands an entrance test and personal interview.

KJSAC Scholarship

KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce also provides scholarship facilities to the students who may need financial assistance. The various kinds of scholarships offered by the college are given below:

Subject based scholarships- In subject based scholarships, candidates are given financial assistance who have definite educational and career interest. Candidates financial status is verified before providing the financial assistance.
Merit based- The scholarship is open for all somaiya students. However, the student must have one faculty advisor on his proposal.
Need Based Scholarships- Scholarships under this category is provided to the students on the basis of their financial income.

The college provides numerous facilities to assist the students during their college life. Some of these facilities are mentioned below:

Library

With a total area of 10732 sq ft, the library has the capacity to hold more than 87000 books and arrangement of 418 chairs with 80 tables for studying. This library is one of the oldest and biggest libraries in the Vidyavihar campus.

Hostel

The college offers hostel facilities to their students with making boundaries for girls and boys separately. The facilities in the hostels include mess, 24 hours hot water internet facility etc.

Sports club

The institute takes its sports activities very seriously and offers an array of fields such as athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, Kabaddi, Volleyball etc.

NSS

Actively engrossed and one of the preferred extra curricular activities of the institute is NSS. Under the social scheme, the college has taken on projects of Juhu Beach cleanliness, Old Age Home Visit, Marathons etc.

The NCC committee celebrates every festive occasion with great commitment and energy. While they prioritize their practice at first, they try taking few social activities as well on the side.

Admission for the Bcom course happens based on cut-off marks as decided by the university. The application form goes live after approval from Mumbai University. The admission process is not completely digitalized yet, there is a scope for improvement over there.

as I pursued BCom from kj somaiya of arts and commerce the minimum percentage that was required for this course was 40 percent. as I secured 92 percent I was eligible for this course and I applied from the same college from which I completed my 12th. applications were been displayed on the college website where we have to apply for our desired course and submit it and within 1-2 days we would have been informed if we are selected for it or not. the fee structure for BCom in my college was 10500 which I think was quite affordable. reservation benefits were only for minorities and also for Gujaratis. I think application process was quite easy and I don't think there is any need for improvements
