Admission to Govt. Arts College is merit-based. The students can apply both online as well as offline. For admission in Diploma and UG courses, applicants must have passed 10+2 in relevant subjects from any recognized Board such as CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board.
- Selection in these courses is based on the merit of the qualifying examination and as per the availability of seats.
- Admission in MA, M. Com, and M.Sc. requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects from any recognized University/ Institution.
- The selection criterion for these PG courses is direct and based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- Admission to M.Sc (Computer Applications) and MCA is entrance-based. The entrance exam accepted for the same is TANCET.
How to apply?
- Application form for UG and PG admission can be obtained from the college office during working hours
- The cost of the UG application is INR 49 and the cost of the PG application is INR 60. SC/ ST students can get the application free of cost by producing a photocopy of the community certificate

As globalization has reached the education sector, the college has geared up to grab new opportunities, and thus the Tamil Nadu State Higher Education Council has entered into collaborations with universities in U.K. These collaborations enable the college to offer students programs in the U.K. Universities.
