Admissions in Shivaji University are accepted on the basis of Merit as well as Entrance Exams.

Undergraduate admissions are carried out on the basis of merit in applicants’ 10+2 exams, except for B.Pharm program and B.Tech., where students are selected on the basis of their MHT CET entrance exam. B.Tech. aspirants from outside Maharashtra have to clear JEE Main for the same.

Applications for postgraduate courses are accepted purely via entrance exams. Students need to clear GATE (for M.Tech.), MAH CET (for MBA), and entrance conducted by the varsity for MCA and M.Sc to get selected.
Applicants seeking admission in Ph.D. courses are selected on the basis of merit obtained through the entrance test conducted by the university. Those who have qualified UGC-CSIR-NET / SLET / SET / GATE / PGDTE./ BET/ GPAT examination do not have to appear for the entrance examinations. Such applicants will be directly called upon for the interview round.

Shivaji University offers scholarships to students of both PG and UG departments of its affiliated colleges. The University gives out 500 scholarships (of INR 5,000/- and 10,000 per annum) every year.

The Shivaji University Merit Scholarship Scheme (SUMS) offers one scholarship each of INR 5,000/- for every P. G. Department for both the years. University also offers one departmental research fellowship for each PG department for the scholars pursuing Ph. D. Degree.

Barr. Balasaheb Khardekar Knowledge Resource Center: It is one of the leading university libraries in Southern Maharashtra, India. It caters to the academic needs of students, faculty and other user groups of university and visitors from other universities and institutes.The library has over 2.9 lakhs printed documents and it subscribes to over 283 national and international journals.

Boys and Girls Hostels: With an inclusive approach, the University has made a policy decision of providing hostel facility to all the girls who wish to avail the facility, taking into consideration the rural background of the students who wish to take up the higher education at University. It also has three fully furnished and spacious boys’ hostels on its campus.

Dr. Appasaheb Pawar Vidyarthi Bhavan (Earn and Learn Scheme): It facilitates staying arrangement for nearly 220 boys and girls. These needy students are provided free lodging and boarding in return for working on University campus (daily 3 hours).

Work On Demand Scheme: It provides work to any student willing to work and for that he/she would get some financial support (Rs. 15/- per hour). This was introduced to prevent the student dropout due to economic problems.

Health Centre:The Health Center located on the campus provides all necessary medical facilities to the members of the University staff and students. It is a well equipped center with sophisticated instruments such as Hematology analyzer, fully automatic Biochemistry analyzer, High frequency X-ray machine, etc.

Sports Complex: The University has a huge sports complex, with pavilions, rooms and a Gymnasium available for practicing, coaching and conducting different sports activities. The Complex has Athletics Track , Basketball Cement Court, Cricket Ground, Kho-Kho Ground, Hockey Ground, etc.

Eligibility is 12th Pass with 55% Above and CET Scorecard with Passing marks. Yes, we can take admission to any engineering college through the entrance exam called CET or JEE. I secured 85% in CET at that time and the cut-off for this college is around 80% for Computer Science so I got selected for admission into the college. The applications for admissions are available on the CET CELL website only after the declaration of results. All this procedure is handled by only Maharashtra Government. The overall admission process is good and fast.
