GITAM Visakhapatnam PhD 2023: Admission, Eligibility, Fees, Application Process

Established in 1980, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is a private University which was titled as a deemed University in 2007. The university offers 109 programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral level in various disciplines such as Technology, Pharmacy, Science, Management, International Business, Architecture and Law.

GITAM offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) course at research level in the following 2 disciplines:

• Management (FT/PT)
• Technology

Only candidates with the relevant qualifying degree are eligible to apply for the doctoral courses offered by GITAM. For admission to Ph.D. programmes, candidates can register themselves by submitting duly filled-in applications along with the processing fee through demand draft (DD). Application fee for Ph.D. in Management and Ph.D. in Technology is Rs. 3000/- and Rs. 1000/- respectively.

Eligibility

• Candidate must possess post-graduate degree from this university or any other recognized university with at least 55% aggregate of marks (open category candidates) and 50% marks (for SC/ST category candidates)
• Candidates can apply for full time or part time Ph.D. programme on the basis of marks secured in the university entrance test (GRAT) and personal interview, also conducted by university.

Selection of the candidate to the Ph.D. programme is done on the basis of his/her performance in GITAM Research Aptitude Test (GRAT) and personal interview, conducted by University.

How To Apply?

• Candidates can download the application form available at the official GITAM website. Application forms can also be obtained from any branch of Union Bank of India throughout the country
• Candidates can also obtain application form by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request letter containing the candidate’s name, along with the complete mailing address and demand draft (DD) of INR 150. DD should be drawn in favour of ‘GITAM University’ and payable at Visakhapatnam
• Candidates can register themselves by submitting the completed applications, along with the processing fee amount of Rs. 1000/- (for male candidates) and Rs. 600/- (for female candidates) through DD. Application fee for admission to Ph.D. in Management (FT/PT) is INR 3000.
