The Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, commonly known as GITAM, Visakhapatnam is one of the best private engineering Deemed to be University established in 1980. It was previously known as GITAM College. GITAM has been approved by UGC. It has been granted the status of deemed to be university in 2007. - Merit-cum-means scholarships will be awarded to 5% of students in each department of the University @ INR. 2000/- per month which will depend on two factors:
- Merit of the Student
- Income of the Parent
- Merit Scholarships will be given to the candidates admitted in M.Tech and M.Pharmacy programs.
- Teaching assistantships will be offered to meritorious students of M.Tech and M.Pharmacy depending upon the need and availability of suitable candidates, subject to a maximum of three students in each program @ Rs. 5,000/- per month.
