DIT University offers Doctoral programs in various specializations such as PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics, Population Health Informatics, Clinical Research, Pharmacology, Mathematics. 

The admission is based on DUET or GATE/ UGC-NET/ SLET. Students who have cleared GATE/ UGC-NET/ SLET exam need not appear for DIT University Entrance Test (DUET) and they will directly appear for the Personal Interview.

DIT University PhD Course Highlights

  • DIT University charges a per semester fee of INR 40000 for a part-time PhD and INR 50000 for full-time PhD programs for all India/ Himalayan State Quota.
  • It offers full-time and part-time options in PhD courses excluding PhD in Civil Engineering. It is only for the Full-time option. The duration of the course is as per DITU PhD Ordinance.
  • Full-time PhD scholars who are GATE/ NET qualified are eligible for a stipend of INR 16000 per month as a stipend towards Teaching and Research Associateship, as per availability of teaching positions. Candidates who qualify DUET with 60% or more are eligible to receive INR 10000 per month as a stipend towards the Teaching and Research Associateship (TA/ RA).

Candidates should have passed a minimum of 55% or equivalent CGPA in the respective Master’s Degree from a recognized University. NET/ GATE/ SRF qualified students shall be preferred for admission.
