JT
Jayant Thakur Posted On : January 24th, 2023
Studied at Amity University

Amity Noida, primarily because of its close proximity to the business. In comparison to an IT hub like Bangalore, Delhi NCR offers more exposure to the field thanks to the location of all the major news channels in Noida Film City. Delhi is a haven for those in the media. All the news media outlets find it to be a paradise as well. The majority of prime time is centered and originated there. The faculty members are truly incredible. They are extremely knowledgeable about what they are teaching.

Thus, Amity Noida is better than Jain University Bangalore for mass communication.

Which one is better- University of Oklahoma Norman or UT Dallas?

CN
Chris Nandakumar Posted On : February 4th, 2021
Studied at The University of Texas, Dallas (2018)

Oklahoma is known for the oil and gas industry and the college being the flagship campus of the state has more opportunities, so you should consider UO over UTD. While the two schools are not similar to one another, you should look into the criteria you are considering prior to applying to either colleges. UT Dallas was traditionally a commuter campus with on campus housing being recently built in the last 15 years.

Rankings & Tuition:

This is usually the two most important factors students consider. According to US News and World Report:

Name of the University Ranking Tuition
University of Oklahoma #133 in national universities. USD 27,068
University of Texas, Dallas #143 in national universities. USD 38,970

Popular programs:

University of Oklahoma: From my experience, OU is primarily known for its Petroleum Engineering and Meteorology programs. The business school is quite good too with programs in Business, Management and Marketing being some of the popular ones.

UT Dallas: If you are looking into research programs, Dallas has some really good research options with top tier faculty available. Additionally, the MBA program at UTD is also very popular among students. Other programs that are sought after include biological sciences, engineering and other business related programs.

Additionally, if you’re looking at campus and room and board, OU at Norman is much more affordable and a quaint town with a good football scene at the campus compared to UTD. Nevertheless, my advice to you would be that you should zero down on a program and look at which institute offers it better before making a decision.

Which college is best Malla Reddy Engineering College for women or Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College?

VB
Vivek Bhakat Posted On : January 20th, 2021
Mechanical Engineering from Malla Reddy Engineering College (2020)

Nalla Malla Reddy is better than Malla Reddy College, for sure. In Nalla Malla, importance is given to the quality of education imparted to students, the discipline, and the rules which are crucial in the process of a student’s personality development and that is the primary aim of the college. In the initial days, it might bother the students, having been denied their imagined freedom.

Nalla Malla Reddy College

  • The college encourages us to participate in several activities and get greater exposure.
  • The examinations are taken quite seriously in this college, the teachers are available 24*7 at the aid of the students, helping them in whatever way possible.
  • The college has implemented certain rules and regulations such as wearing ID cards, proper uniforms, getting permission letters from the administration, etc.
  • The faculty is impressive with good teaching skills. Their learning methods as well as the infrastructure facilities can be termed as old-school, positively.
  • Also, they will encourage you to polish your skills, to engage in co-curricular as well as academic activities.

Malla Reddy College

  • The eye-catching feature is the carefree college life- the campus, the college lifestyle.
  • The students aren't burdened with the headache of attendance, getting permission slips, etc.
  • The management is supportive and encouraging and will motivate you to participate in various co-curricular activities, fests, etc.
  • The major drawback of this college is the increasing number of back-papers of the students in large numbers.
  • Owing to the extra time spent outside the classroom, the students fail to attend the classes.
  • This is harmful in the long run because they are not able to build a strong base of knowledge for their respective subject which will reflect in their performance in the government conducted exams or during their interviews during the placement procedure.

Here is anoverview of the pros and cons of this college-

PROS

CONS

The best campus in the city

Poor results from students

Lenient environment

An increasing number of back-papers

Placement rate (2020)- 70% to 80%

Too relaxed environment

Salary package(2020)- >3.5LPA and <8LPA

Therefore, if one wants a proper education and holistic development then Nalla Malla Reddy Engineering College is the option. There is one thing which should be kept in mind, irrespective of the college one chooses- always furnish and work on the skill set required by one's profession. It is helpful in the long run to be it in the case of further academia or during job interviews.

Should I prefer IIEST Shibpur over Thapar University for CSE?

AS
Aarav Sharma Posted On : September 16th, 2020
B.Tech Electronics and Computer Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology

IIEST Shibpur is known for its national importance and outstanding alumni network. Thapar Institute of engineering and technology is one of India’s leading private institutions with a NIRF ranking of 27 amongst top engineering colleges. Let us have a look at the difference between the two universities based on some important and relevant factors.

Admissions:

IIEST Shibpur- For BTech at IIEST Shibpur students are required to clear JEE mains and have a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2, along with 30% in English. For the BTech program in CST, the JEE mains cut-off was at 9379 in 2019.

Thapar University- For CSE admissions at Thapar University, students must qualify JEE mains. The general rank cut-off was 915971 in 2019.

Fee Structure: Considering IIEST is a public university funded by the central government, the demanded fee structure is relatively low. Thapar University on the other hand is a private institution and therefore has a higher range of tuition fees.

  • The total annual fee for BTech sums up to 1.36 lakhs.

  • The total annual fee for BTech in CSE sums up 3.24 lakh.

Infrastructure: Being funded by the government, IIEST offers an updated experience in terms of technology but lacks modern infrastructure considering the college is nearly 160 years old. Thapar University is a private institution that has absolutely high-end and modern facilities all across its campus.

Placements:

IIEST Shibpur-

  • In 2019, 72% of students got placed from the CSE branch in top companies.

  • The average salary offered to the students of CSE is 6.5 LPA.

How is IIIT Bhubaneswar compared to other IITs, NITs and IIITs?

SS
Sahana Samaddar Posted On : August 14th, 2020
B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering International Institute of Information Technology Bhubaneswar (2018)

IIIT Bhubaneswar comes under the listing of IIIT institutes of India. All institutes listed under IIT are funded as well as established by the government of India but this is not the case for institutes listed under IIIT. They are semi funded by the government and the other half is funded by private companies and firms.

When it comes down to comparing institutes based on the education offered by them, the quality of education offered by IITs is way ahead of those of NITs. The faculty of IIT is much more qualified and experienced than the faculty of NIT or IIIT. The approach of education and teaching methods used in IITs is way more effective as well. This doesn’t mean that the education offered at NIT is not good, both NIT and IIT are extremely good in providing education and producing good students but IIT still has an upper hand due to its high standard of studies. In this case, institutes listed under IIIT are the ones that lag behind all NITs and IITs.

IIIT Bhubaneswar, as an academic institute, offers a very student-friendly environment to its students. The coding environment of the institute is also very good and up to date. The placement rate offered by the institute lies between 90 to 100 percent. Though, students seeking admission in IIIT Bhubaneswar should reconsider their financial position as the fees demanded by this institute is quite high.
