National Institute of Technology, Mizoram (NITM) is an autonomous college affiliated to the All Indian Council for Technical Education. IET DAVV is one of the most prestigious and sought for engineering colleges in Central India. It is a very decent college when it comes to academics. IET DAVV is regarded as one of the finest colleges of Madhya Pradesh.

JEC Jabalpur offers Engineering courses in 7 fields and 9 postgraduate courses in various disciplines. Approximately 60 students/ teachers have been awarded a Ph.D. degree from this college.

For those who hold a keen interest in Computers and it’s overall understanding are highly suggested to opt for CSE while for those who are interested in an in-depth study of computers are suggested to take up IT. Also, for students who are looking at programs to do with design, manufacturing or research can opt IIITDM, Kancheepuram considering IIITM, Gwalior is not a research-oriented college.
• Placements: Both colleges offer good placement services but IIITM, Gwalior sees a higher number of companies as part of their placement drives. The average salary package of students is near 10.5 LPA, with 30% placements from the Field of Engineering. IIITDM, Kancheepuram observes an average salary package of 17.54 LPA with a total of 135 students of the total being placed. About 38% of placements take place within the field of Engineering.

It has a number of industrial tie-ups such as SAP, Benchmark Six Sigma, Global Voice, APTECH, and many more. It was ranked as the 11th best private university in India by Times of India in 2020.

UIT Uttaranchal University is a relatively new university that provides a plethora of courses in various fields. It is a private university established in Dehradun and has developed modern frameworks for teaching children and providing them with the relevant experience.

• BBA at UIT is a relatively newer course and thus offers updated and industry-relevant syllabi and course structure. 
• The course focuses on the upcoming fields in the realm of management studies and provides thought-provoking activities and fests throughout the year.

Placements:

IMS Unison

• IMS Unison is famous for their placement records as well with over 80% of their final year graduates and postgraduates getting placed in top companies. 
• The average salary package was 8LPA. 
• They also provide summer internships and other career-oriented services to students as well.

UIT Uttaranchal University

• UIT is a relatively new university and hasn’t proclaimed its name in the career field yet. 
• However, they do record 40-50% placements every year with the average salary packages being 4-5 LPA.

Thus, it completely depends on the students which university they wish to pursue. While IMS is an old university and provides much more secure placement opportunities, newer universities like UIT could also ensure a secure better future as they constantly adapt themselves to the industry requirements.

KLE Technological University is a private and autonomous engineering college in Hubli ranked 151 among top engineering colleges in NIRF 2019 Rankings. Walchand College of Engineering is an autonomous college in Sangli, Maharashtra with a campus area of 90 acres. It has been ranked 168 among engineering colleges by NIRF. KLE University BE program for CSE whereas, Walchand College of Engineering offers BTech programs for CSE. KLE Technological University accepts KCET scores for admission whereas, WCE accepts JEE Main and MHT CET scores. In order to be eligible students require 10+2 from any recognized boards.

Fee Structure:

• The fee structure of KLE Technological University for Bachelor of Technology is 60,000 INR.

• The fee structure of Walchand College of Engineering for Bachelor of Technology is 3.4 lakhs INR.

Cut off:

• For admission in Computer Science Engineering at KLE Technological University, the cut-off for the general category went up to 12330.

• On the other hand, the cut off in Walchand College of Engineering went up to 157 for Computer Science Engineering in the entrance exam of MHT CET.

Faculty: Both the institutes have dedicated groups of faculties who are well-qualified and have years of experience in teaching.

• KLE Technological University has around 64 faculty members in the CSE branch.

• Walchand College of Engineering has around 24 faculty members in the CSE branch.

Placement:

KLE Technological University-

• The placement rate in KLE for Computer Science Engineering is around 70%. Many students also opt for higher studies.

• The students received the highest package of INR 2.50 LPA whereas the lowest package was INR 14 .50 LPA.

• The top recruiters of the college include Walmart, Sony, Mercedes Benz, Accenture, Infosys, HP, Akamai, and TCS.

Walchand College of Engineering-

• The college recorded a total placement rate of around 100% in Computer Science Engineering.

• Students received the highest package of INR 50 LPA while the lowest package was INR 4 LPA.

• Placement Companies in Walchand College of Technology include Infosys, ACC Limited, Accenture, Amazon, Amdocs, Atlas Copco, BSNL, CapGemini, Cummins, Emerson Electric.

This depicts a factual description of both the colleges related to the Computer Science Branch. Now it depends on the student’s interest and course details to select a particular college.

SIBM Pune and BIMM Pune have been ranked at 6th and 11th among private MBA colleges by Outlook 2020 respectively. Both the institutes are well recognized and are famous B-schools.

In BIMM Pune, the aspirants are required to have a minimum of 50% in aggregate in graduation. While in SIBM Pune the candidates are required to have 60% in aggregate in graduation.

INFRASTRUCTURE: SIBM Pune has a multi-cuisine cafeteria and is highly maintained and the food is hygienic too. The hostel facility is up to date and the classrooms are well spacious and are fully air-conditioned. Moreover, all the labs are well equipped. On the other hand, BIMM Pune has a well-stocked library and the hostel services and canteen are excellent and the sports complex is very big and the classrooms are well equipped.

Opting for Computer Science Engineering from Sikkim Manipal University over SRM is a better choice as the university has better opportunities for its students in terms of placements. A friend of mine recommended Sikkim Manipal University.
