To pursue UG courses, Ravenshaw University is one of the best options. Ravenshaw is one of the oldest and premier institutions in Odisha and currently it is at the top in Odisha for providing UG courses. The infrastructure of this university is very beautiful and all the departments of this university are well designed to give a nice atmosphere to the students to study and create a learning environment.
However, if you are talking about postgraduate courses, then it is not wise to compare the institute as a whole. Rather it will be better to find out about the course you are interested in. Look for lecturer profiles, field exposure, course studies, etc.
Being an alumnus of RNBGU, I can give you my reasons why my university is better than ICFAI Jaipur for pursuing law :
On the basis of these reasons, it can be said that RNB Global University can also be a good option with respect to ICFAI Jaipur.
I have a few friends from Amrita University, so I can give you some information regarding the required cutoff for admission at the institute.
With this rank, you will get admission at Amrita University but for getting a CSE branch you will need a rank below 3000. If your rank is above 3000, then you may ask the management and you might get Bangalore or Amritapuri branch for the CSE.
If you are not in the Tamil Nadu state quota category you cannot get a seat with the counseling process, you will need to contact the college for more details. If you belong to the state quota then you might get preference and get the branch of your choice.
The answer to this question is determined by what you are passionate about. A large number of students choose to go for electrical engineering. This branch guarantees a lot of lucrative placements. You can also hone your skills while working.
My friend graduated from IIT Bhubaneswar and he thinks it is a great institute for pursuing electrical engineering. The only thing missing in new IITs is exposure and strength.
IIT Kharagpur is an old IIT and things are very organized there as the old ones are more often than not. You will have more industrial connections and you can hone your skills in coding. You can enhance your knowledge of artificial intelligence and IoT among topics that are trending.
Most Indian students do not have much passion to work in companies based on core metallurgy. If you are concerned about your placements then the circuit branches like CSE, ECE, EE, EEE are better than the rest of the branches.

Electrical engineering involves a lot of mathematics along with physics so it is difficult. Metallurgy, on the other hand, includes physics, chemistry. Despite being a relatively easier course, if you happen to lose interest, completing the program can really become a chore. Both courses take a lot of effort to complete so choose wisely.
Having friends studying in both the institutions, I can say that both are good. If you see, Bharati Vidyapeeth is quite an old institute as compared to DY Patil.
Moreover, Bharati Vidyapeeth is good for applied arts; which is situated in main Pune city. It also has good infrastructure and facilities. On the other hand, DY Patil is famous for engineering and technology which is situated in Akurdi and Pimpri.
The following table gives a brief overview of the institutes:
Categories | Bharati Vidyapeeth | DY Patil |
Course Fee | 4.62 lakh | 3.78 lakh |
Highest CTC | 4 LPA | 5-8 LPA |
Average CTC | 3 LPA | 3 LPA |
If you want to have a good atmosphere, good facilities, experienced teachers & prestigious institutions go for Bharati Vidyapeeth. DY Patil is also a good option but both have minor differences.
I have a few friends from both institutes and based on what I heard from them I will suggest that you choose BIT Mesra IT over IIIT Kota for the CS branch.
The placement statistics of BIT Mesra are as follows.

INR 49.76 LPA. |
Average CTC offered |
INR 11.76 LPA. |

Hope this helps.
As far as these two colleges are concerned, both are equally good in their respective locations. Lucknow is known as the capital city which will come with its own set of benefits. But, if you want to directly compare, my vote would go for PSIT Kanpur as it is especially good for computer science engineering.
Moreover, PSIT is also a private college. This will have its benefits including better placements for CS and other branches as well as compared to other institutes that are not based on NCRs. PSIT has also become one of the fastest-growing institutes in North India.
PSIT is also known for its discipline, faculty, and facilities which, are the best here as compared to BBD. However, BBD is less strict than PSIT so you can expect a little more personal growth at this college than the other one.
Finally, it all boils down to what you like. You can also choose the college which is nearer to you.
I have some friends at IIEST Shibpur and NIT Rourkela and based on what I heard from them, I will suggest that you choose the former. Here is why.
Here are the recent placement statistics at the institutes.

Go for IIEST, only if you are interested in doing research further, you can make some good contact there which will be helpful. But from a placement point of view, NIT R will be better for a CSE course.
While discussing NIT Kurukshetra and IIIT Lucknow I would suggest you go for NIT Kurukshetra. IIIT Lucknow is newly established and requires more experience.
With a rank of 17115 in JEE Main, I would like to suggest you go for NIT Kurukshetra. It has a better NIRF ranking than that of IIIT Lucknow.
As your interest leans towards CSE/IT, you can easily explore your coding knowledge or software skills beyond your opted branch. There is a good coding culture in NITs, you can learn coding from any branch depending on your interest and dedication.
You can approach any software company without any restriction of the branch at the time of placements. Moreover, NITs assist you with a remission policy which you won’t get in IIITs based on your family income.

There will be a NITian tag with you. Also, NIT provides you so much exposure regarding many activities such as cultural, sports or technical, these all will be beneficial.
At last, you have so many choices on the basis of your rank, choose your college and branch wisely and carefully. All the best!
One of my friends is currently residing in Jaipur and he recommends RNB Global University, Bikaner for higher education.
Though the quality of education at Amity University Jaipur is not so high and placements are very poor, he took admission to RNB Global University. It has one of the finest infrastructure and rendering world-class facilities one can see on the campus.
The faculty is highly qualified with Ph.D. degrees from top universities around the world. The interaction level between faculty and students is also very high. There's communication both ways, which is a key aspect.
It is situated on a 300-acre campus in the city of Bikaner and assures an all-around development of the students with various student-led activities, cross-college electives for students, and regular visits by eminent personalities with a lot of guest lectures.
