  5. The people on campus and the overall environment are not available anywhere else in Tamil Nadu, except for IIT M
  6. One gets to enjoy great campus life and is exposed to different cultures at NIT Trichy
  7.  The fee at NIT Trichy is also relaxed

DISADVANTAGES:

  1. The faculty at NIT Trichy is not impressive and might not put in the required effort
  2.  The faculty strength is also small, though teachers are continuously hired

MEASI

ADVANTAGES:

  1. MEASI is located in Chennai, so its location is advantageous
  2. MEASI offers immense exposure to the city’s architecture and buildings

What is the number of architects that do project management at NICMAR Pune compared to civil engineers?

SA
Shatrughan Arora Posted On : September 20th, 2021
PGP Project Engineering Management, National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Pune (2019)

My friend had joined the Advanced Construction Management (ACM )branch in NICMAR, I'd suggest that you join it as well.

In his ACM class, there were 6 architects and in total there were 60–100 architects in NICMAR. Architects are required in abundance too. They have a good scope in the future and many well-known companies need architects for their multi-role profiles. Many interior design companies require specialized designers for interiors.

Also, there are only a few architects in the college so chances of getting a placement are higher. So definitely go join and fulfill your goals.

My rank in the JEE Mains is 11900. Can I get a CS in NIT Goa or should I look some other options?

AM
Akshita Mohanty Posted On : August 30th, 2021
Studied at Electronics and Communication Engineering, NIT Bhopal (2018)

I have a few friends from the institute and according to them with a rank of 11900 in JEE Mains it will be difficult to get into CSE at NIT Goa. You should look for other colleges in order to get into your preferred branch. Here is the cutoff of NIT Goa for 2021.

B.Tech branches General
Home State  Outside State
Civil Engineering  87610 31362-35494
Computer Science and Engineering  14581 7420-10323
Electrical & Electronics Engineering  73349 19728-21121
Electronics and Communication Engineering  34058 - 53405 14553 - 16711
Mechanical Engineering  82553 - 83783 23542 - 26295

Look for the previous year's cutoff on the previous JEE main website, which will give a pretty rough idea about what branch and college you can get into. However, I will not recommend NIT Goa for CSE. Since it is a new college and no big or well-known companies come there for placements. Infrastructure and resources are not as par according to NIT standards. You can also try some private universities such as BITS, Thapar, VIT, or MIT.

Which option is better and why: IEM at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering or TC at Sir MVIT?

SG
Suchitra Ghose Posted On : September 2nd, 2021
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore

It all depends upon your interest and future perspective. Choose Telecommunication Engineering or IEM based on your interest.

IEM is a combination of mechanical engineering, product engineering, and management studies, so if you want to gain hands-on experience in management studies and see the future perspective in the same field, then IEM is one of the best fields to pursue. Also, IEM subjects are easier compared to Telecommunication. IEM becomes more theory-oriented towards the 3rd semester.

Now regarding colleges, VTU affiliated colleges are good to pursue your higher studies and the teaching levels are the same in all the colleges. Also, the placements are quite decent in these colleges.

How is the NIT Puducherry hostel?

SK
Shekhar Kumar Posted On : October 6th, 2021
Studied B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Puducherry (2021)

The hostel at NIT Puducherry is amazing with all the required facilities available. There are two hostels, one for boys and another one for girls. In the next 1–2 years, more hostels with single rooms will be built.

Following are a few details about the hostel and the facilities it offers:

  • There is a mess on the first floor of each hostel. As a result, you won't have to walk far to eat your meal. The mess food is better than that of most other government colleges.
  • There are two big lifts in each hostel. As a result, you will not have to climb many stairs.
  • Each floor of the hostel has high-speed Wi-Fi and LAN, as well as water coolers, two large washrooms, and fire extinguishers, and fire alarms.
  • On each floor, there is a common room with a television. You can watch movies, sports, and other entertainment.
  • The rooms are spacious and well-maintained.
  • There are security available 24 hours a day, and they are quite helpful.
  • Most importantly, from the boy's hostel, you can see the enormous expanse of the Bay of Bengal sea. For those who do not live near the coast, the view is breathtaking.
  • Due to the sea, there is a cool breeze for 24 hours.

Overall, it is a great institute with the best facilities.
