The choice must be done purely based on your interest. If you are not that interested in coding and if you take a lot of time to understand the core language, there is no point in opting CS even if it's in high demand. Once you enjoy what you are learning you will succeed in your job position. Otherwise, there is no point in being hung up in a course which you don't enjoy and for four years or even for the rest of your life.

How good is studying IC from Nirma University?
One of my friends studied at the IT branch but has little idea about the IC branch. But, when compared to DAIICT, Nirma University is the best place to study if you have firmly established goals and would like to work for them.
- The management is really good but it is a strict college that might give few school vibes.
- At Nirma, you will learn a lot about discipline, good manners, and management while having a good college life and a great career if you are not planning to do your Masters in foreign universities.
- They have a diverse student population.
- If you can afford the fee at Nirma University, my advice to you would be to go ahead and secure your seat.

The computer department is very well established as far as faculty is concerned. A few classmates who studied in IC are also quite happy with the branch.
Which college should I prefer, RVCE (CS branch) or lower IIITs like Kota and Vadodara (CS branch)?
Since my sister studied at RVCE, I can give you information about it.
Placement:
- RVCE provides a lot of placement opportunities. If you score decently, you can easily get a double-digit package job in the campus placement.
- Placement season starts from July till November, where all the good companies with good opportunities come for placement. However, you can expect placement opportunities in your last semester also.
- These companies offer the lowest packages of 3-4 LPA. Thus, RVCE CSE is definitely good in terms of placements.
Academics:
- The faculties are not of top quality and hence, the academic quality.
- You will have to practice self-study if you really want to have good knowledge of the subjects.
Exam Pattern: You will definitely score more than or equal to 90% if you solve 3-4 previous years semester endpapers.
Not commenting anything on lower IIITs since I don’t have much knowledge about it. But, if given a chance to join any RVCE or any lower IIIT like Kota or Vadodara, I would always go for RVCE.
What should I prefer, IIT Dhanbad ECE or IIT Bhubaneswar EE in terms of placement, hostels, peer groups, etc.?
According to me, IIT Bhubaneswar EE is a better choice in terms of placements, hostels, peer groups, etc. as compared to IIT Dhanbad ECE. I am a student of IIT Bhubaneswar and I can vouch for the institution.
- IIT Bhubaneswar has good hostel facilities with mess for the students.
- Peer Groups at IIT Bhubaneswar provide you with great opportunities to interact, learn, and explore opportunities.
- The placement scenario for the EE department for the year 2023 was very good, with 92.86%of students being placed.
- The highest package was INR 44.62 LPA and the average package was INR 19.05 LPA.
Which one is better: UIET Chandigarh's IT or CCET's CSE?
UIET and CCET are colleges situated in the same city. This makes them quite similar. The only varying factors are placement and campus life. I have my friends in both of the colleges and they have mentioned a few points which may help you to find a better college out of both.
- As the location of both the colleges is beautiful, both of the colleges get equal points here.
- The campus life of UIET is lively and you will get to enjoy university life there. Moreover, I have heard from my friends that students from CCET come to UIET campus to hang out and enjoy the ambiance. The students of CCET have to come to Punjab University for many formalities. Thus, UIET wins a point here as well.
- UIET and CCET have almost the same average package yet, UIET is seen offering a somewhat higher amount than CCET. The placement record for IT at UIET is unbeatable.

What is the fee structure of ITM Gwalior for a B.Tech?
ITM Gwalior fees for B.Tech stays in the range of INR 3.85 Lakhs to INR 6.01 Lakhs. The required fee amount depends on the branch. The total course fee for CSE and IT for four years is INR 6.01 Lakhs. For the other B.Tech branches the total fees are around INR 3.85 Lakhs.
Which is better, electronics and instrumentation in Thapar, IT in Maharaja Agrasen College, or CSE in Maharaja Surajmal College?
I know people from these institutes and based on the conversations I had with them, I will say the preference order should be somewhat like below.
CSE MSIT ~ IT MAIT > ICE Thapar
Since you are considering different branches, it is clear that you don’t have any inclination towards a specific branch or specialization. If it’s true I will suggest don’t go for ICE Thapar. It is a core branch that already has fewer job opportunities in the industry. To score a decent placement at a core company for this branch you will need to be at the top of your class. Else, you are likely to end up in mass recruiting companies or software companies.
So, it will be better to stay in Delhi, it will be cost-effective, you can save up for your postgraduate degree and pursue what is in demand currently.
Should I prefer IIT Mandi for CSE over MNNIT for CSE?
No, you should prefer MNNIT for CSE. It is better compared to IIT Mandi. You can benefit a lot from the competitive coding culture on the MNNIT campus. The seniors are very helpful. You will get to learn many useful coding hacks from them. It offers good placement opportunities as well. According to 2021 placement highlights, MNNIT CSE average CTC is INR 19.08 LPA.
Will I get into IT in IET DAVV with a rank of 166,200 in IET DAVV?
Yes, with your rank there’s a probability that you will get into IT at IET DAVV. However, you may need to wait for college-level counselling. The reason is that many seats remain vacant till the CLC. So, there is a high probability of getting admission.
