IIFT Delhi does not give weightage to your performance in academics. Your admission will mainly depend on how well you perform in the written exam and GD-PI WAT. The entrance exam carries a weightage of around 65%, however, final admission will be given on cut-off.
As far as XLRI is concerned, the GP-PI call is highly based on what percentile you land up within the XAT. The cutoff is 95 percentile for the BM program and 93 percentile for HRM for male candidates. For females, this is 93 percentile for BM and 91 for the HRM program. But, when the college prepares the final merit list, 5% weightage is also given to past academics.
Overall, it is advisable to have a minimum of 60% score in your graduate exams so it does not hinder your future plans.
The daily routine at PGIMS Rohtak depends on the ongoing events, class schedule, class tests, and your interests. One of my close friends shared his routine as a 1st year MBBS student at PGIMS Rohtak
His day began around 6 in the morning. He liked jogging for about 45 minutes in the huge playground after which he would go for Babubhai's tea.
He would take a bath by 7:30 AM and then have tea again in the mess.
By 8:00 AM he would get ready for college and head to the mess for breakfast. After breakfast, he would reach the college at 8:50 AM. Sometimes the ECE Physiology classes start at 8:00 AM so the mess starts at 7:00 AM.
The duration of the first batch of classes is 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Usually, the following schedule is followed
From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2 lectures each of 1 hour mostly of Anatomy and Physiology or Biochemistry take place.
The lunch break starts from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The food served is delicious.
Next, a practical class of either Anatomy or Physiology or AETCOM takes place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The class schedule also keeps changing but you got the idea.
4 p.m. marks the end of the day for the students. You can do whatever you want. Some students like to visit the market to buy groceries while some prefer sleeping. Some play sports while some bookworms spend their time in the library. Dinner is served around 8:00 PM after which students head to their rooms. This pretty much sums up my daily routine at PGIMS Rohtak.
There are some common blunders that first-year students tend to make.
These are simple yet important tips first-year students should consider at IIT Roorkee.
Getting a degree is not just the only thing, and you have to consider a number of aspects before picking a college or a university. Talking about these three colleges, you should choose Poornima University. Here’s mentioning some reasons as to why:
Categories | CSE at Poornima University |
Course Fee | 5.45 lakhs |
Placement Percentage | 70% |
Highest CTC | 12 LPA |
Average CTC | 3-4 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Wipro, TCS, Reliance, CTS, etc. |
You should choose your college wisely and not in an ambiguous state. This is a very important step of your life and you should be caring enough to not mess it up.
It is recommended that you do not opt for GBPEC Pauri. Here are some reasons why:
You can rather go for DIT or GEU Dehradun which will provide a comparatively better environment and facilities.
My friend also faced the dilemma of choosing between VJTI and BITS Goa. He ended up choosing VJTI because of the following reasons.
IET Lucknow offers a chance to some students to change their branch based on their first-year academic performance.
I think it is quite easy to score more than 8.5 CGPA at IET Lucknow but that also makes the competition tough.
Here are a few simple pieces of advice my brother in his second year at Thapar University would like to give to first-year CSE students
Lastly, enjoy your college life, it never comes back!
One of my friends studied from VGEC. According to him, the institute is not worth taking admission as branches such as IT and CS are also not good here. MSU and DDU are both really good colleges. The colleges are well known.
One good thing is that both MSU and DDU are deemed. The campus is really good. The teaching faculties are extremely supportive. There are lots of examinations conducted, thus students need to work really hard.
Almost every college affiliated with AKTU is good but the KCC Institute of Technology and Management tops the list. Approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), KCC has ranked 2nd in terms of faculty. It has also ranked 7th in the best private engineering college in North India.
The following points will tell you why KCC is indeed the best college under AKTU.
Placements: KCC Institute has the best placement drives. The best part is the pre-placement training and the mock interviews. The combination of both ensures the placement of every student. Students last year got placed in companies such as Extramarks, BYJUs, QA Infotech, Dell, Infosys, etc.
Faculties: KCC is known for its highly experienced faculty that guides every aspect of college life.
Computer Labs: The computer labs are air-conditioned and well-equipped and provide the perfect ambiance for practical work.
Societies and activities: To ensure the overall development of a student, this college has many societies like film, fashion, photography, music, fine arts, dramatics, literature, etc. Competitions are also held from time to time.
Seminars: Organising a seminar adds to the capabilities of the students and makes them ready to face any challenges.
