VS
Vartika Sharma Posted On : December 28th, 2021
B.Tech from Sanskriti University, Mathura (2022)

AICTE is approved by the Institutions and University Grants Commission (UGC) approved for any university.

Sanskrit University is a University and because of which there is no need of AICTE approval, but the university is approved under UGC part 1 and part 2 as well as the university is accredited to all its regulatory body of the courses.

For example programs like law are accredited to Bar Council of India, Pharmacy is accredited to Pharmacy Council of India, B.Sc. Agriculture is accredited to ICAR, etc.

Sanskriti University is approved in all, you can check it on the official websites of the authorised bodies.

Therefore, Sanskriti University is approved by all the accrediting bodies and authorities.

Universities do not need any affiliation to AICTE; it is the accrediting body for the institutes. The university should be approved from the University Grants Commission which is mandatory for a registered University. Sanskrit University is approved under UGC.

Is BIT Mesra a good college to pursue engineering?

HS
Harpreet Saini Posted On : August 16th, 2023
Studied at BIT Mesra

BIT Mesra is a renowned institution and is particularly known for its B.E. in CSE, ECE, Mech., IT and EEE. The B.Arch department is also good. One of my friends got admission into the Biotechnology department for her B.E. She worked really hard for a year, got a branch change into CSE, and ended up with a job offer from Microsoft. Several companies visit the campus during placements, and a hardworking student can easily get placed in a good company.

The campus is quite big. You will get a single room in the boys' hostel after your first year. Night canteens operate in almost all the boys and girls hostels and remain open till 3-4 a.m. in the morning.

There are several clubs at BIT Mesra which you can join. Another great thing about BIT Mesra is the presence of DC++. It is a network repository. You and your peers can connect to it through a laptop and share content with one another. In this network, you will find all the movies, series, and video lectures.

BIT Mesra is a wonderful college and you won’t regret your decision of joining it for your B.Tech.

Which is better, SCB or AIIMS Bhubaneswar?

RB
Rimjhim Banerjee Posted On : April 22nd, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal

If you are considering pursuing a medical degree in Orissa, you may be weighing your options between AIIMS and SCB Medical College. Here are some key points to keep in mind as you make your decision:

  • AIIMS and SCB Medical College are both highly regarded institutions in Orissa, and they are known for producing some of the best medical professionals in the country.
  • While both institutions have excellent faculty members who are experts in their respective fields, AIIMS has a slight edge in terms of brand recognition and the quality of its students. This may be due in part to the fact that AIIMS is a newer institution, having been established in 2012, while SCB Medical College has been around since 1944.
  • One advantage that AIIMS has over SCB Medical College is its modern facilities. AIIMS is housed in a state-of-the-art building with advanced equipment and technology that is designed to support cutting-edge research and patient care. By contrast, SCB Medical College is housed in a more traditional building that may not offer the same level of amenities.

However, it's important to note that both institutions provide excellent medical facilities and resources to their students. Whether you choose to attend AIIMS or SCB Medical College, you can expect to receive a high-quality education that will prepare you for a successful career in medicine.

Ultimately, the decision of which institution to attend will depend on your personal preferences and priorities. You may want to consider factors such as location, cost, and available programs and specializations, as well as the reputation and resources of each institution.

How are the placements for an M.Tech in embedded at MNIT Jaipur?

Sayantani Barman Posted On : October 9th, 2023

MNIT Jaipur M.Tech placements depend on a number of factors like the placement coordinator of that year, his keenness to do his job, and the level of preparation of the PG students. Most core and software companies allow MTech students to sit for placements. The placement coordinator convinced HR of companies to give eligibility to students of all the circuit branches like Embedded, VLSI, Electronics and Communication, CS, and Power Electronics. If the students perform well in the interview, they may land the job easily.

For MTech students, what matters the most is the internship opportunities they are offered in the 2nd year. Luckily, MNIT Jaipur has many big firms like Intel, GE, Texas Instruments, Infineon, STMicroelectronics, Qualcomm, ARM, etc. that offer 1-year internships to its MTech students. Many students even end up getting full-time offers after an internship.

So, placements for an MTech student in Embedded at MNIT Jaipur are quite good.

What are the college timings at IIEST, Shibpur?

DT
Devesh Thakur Posted On : May 31st, 2021
Integrated M.tech Power Electronics and Drives & Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Enginee

The timetable of the IIEST university has been modified and implemented since 2017. For the working days, i.e. Monday to Friday each week, the timing is as follows.

  • Half First: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with 4 periods each of 55 minutes.
  • Break: 12:40 to 13:50 is the time for a break.
  • Second Half: from 13:50, till 16:35 (3 periods each of 55 minutes)

The rest of the day is yours after the classes finish at 16:35.

Only holidays allowed by the Central Government of India are considered, although during local Bengali festivities you can have holidays if the professors permit. A 4-week long leave is offered after the odd semester. Even semesters commence from the first week of January. After even semesters, you will get an interval of around 2.5 months. During which you can do your internship.

In odd semesters, the number of working days is more than in even semesters. For more details regarding the same, you can check the academic calendar available on the website of the institute.

Which one is better, IIT Ropar or Thapar University?

SS
Shivangi Sharma Posted On : August 11th, 2021
Studied at IIT Kharagpur (2019)

Both the institutes hold their own importance and cannot be compared as both are reputed colleges and the only thing that sets them apart is the term ‘IIT’. Having known some people studying in both these institutes, I can say that IIT Ropar is much better than Thapar.

  • IIT Ropar has been ranked in the top 3 among new IITs for the past 2 years.
  • IIT Ropar would give you a greater opportunity and a better peer group since the students studying here have secured a rank under 5000 in JEE Advanced.
  • The placement status of IIT Ropar is amazing. The percentage in the CSE department has been more than 90% with an average of around 16 LPA.
  • Mechanical and electrical remain around 80-85% with an average of around 8-9 LPA in mechanical and 12 LPA in electrical.
  • Also, IIT Ropar has enormous research labs compared to any other new IIT. And also, it has deep collaboration with foreign universities.
  • The students going for internships, jobs, and studies in foreign universities are relatively high at IIT Ropar as compared to any other new IIT.
  • The faculty in IIT Ropar is qualified well enough. Most of them are done with their Ph.D. from top Universities across the world.
Categories IIT Ropar
Course Fee 8.58 lakh
Highest CTC 22-25 LPA
Average CTC 12-16 LPA
Recruiting Companies Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc.

IIT Ropar beats even the other IITs in terms of infrastructure, faculty, and placements. And hence, Private Universities are no parallel to IIT Ropar.

Is it safe joining IIM Jammu unlike NIT Srinagar?

RT
Raktim Tarafdar Posted On : September 19th, 2023

Yes, IIM Jammu is safe for students. There are various reasons for making IIM Jammu a safe campus for learning:

  • Location: IIM Jammu is located on Canal Road Nawabad, Cantonment, Jammu, Jammu, and Kashmir. It is just 4.8 km away from Jammu Tawi railway station. Being located in the heart of Jammu city there is no fear, no threat, no militancy, no strikes, and no tension of bomb blast. You can get good coaching, a good atmosphere, and good and pleasant weather.
  • Secured campus: The security staff continuously monitor through the surveillance system. They responsibly supervise patrolling around the campus to prevent and detect signs of intrusions and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Secured accommodation for students: The hostels at IIM Jammu are fully secured blocks with armed guards and no one is allowed to enter without proper verification.

So it can be concluded that IIM Jammu is a safe campus. The institution has implemented several measures to ensure the safety and security of its students, faculty, and staff. Students can focus on their studies and extracurricular activities without worrying about their safety.

How is biomedical engineering at Manipal institute of technology MIT Manipal?

AG
Alka Gupta Posted On : September 9th, 2023
Studied at Manipal Institute Of Technology

MIT Manipal's BME course is the right combination of engineering and medicine subjects.

Academics

  • The entire curriculum can be divided into three aspects namely technical, non-technical, and medical.
  • The technical aspect Includes subjects that involve instrumentation, electronics, image/signal processing, and engineering mathematics, the Non-technical aspect includes subjects such as tissue engineering, bio-materials, and artificial organs along with electives. Unlike most biomedical engineering courses, the BME program at Manipal focuses a lot on medical subjects too.
  • Students are required to attend classes at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) whose campus is very close to MIT.
  • All subjects within the Basic Clinical Sciences (BCS) like Anatomy, Physiology, Cardiology, Radiology, Radiotherapy, ENT, Anesthesiology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neurology, etc. are taught between the 3rd and 7th semesters.
  • Additionally, live demonstrations of most medical equipment such as CT/MRI/CATH labs/Physiotherapy sessions/Prosthetic limb implementations, etc. are held to give hands-on experience to students.

Batch Size and Faculty

  • The intake is very low around 25-35 students. This ensures better student-teacher relationships and one-to-one attention to every student.
  • The professors, although very few, are cooperative and approachable.

Internship opportunities:

  • Some international student organizations such as IAESTE or AIESEC offer both technical and non-technical internships to students. To avail of these make sure to sign up in the first year itself.

Placements

  • The placement scenario isn't very good for core biomedical jobs. Only around 3 to 5 core biomedical companies visit and recruit very few students. Some of them are GE, Philips, and BPL Medical Technologies
  • Most MRCs recruit for general, entry-level positions for which every branch is eligible.

 Extra-curriculars

  • The institute has ample opportunities to pursue your passions and many clubs promote diverse fields like robotics to dramatics.
  • BMESI (Biomedical Engineering Society of India - Manipal Chapter) is a student-run technical club associated with the Department of Biomedical Engineering that organizes and participates in a wide range of events and technical programs.

In all the Biomedical Engineering course is one of the best offered by a private engineering institution in the country.

What is the future of LLM from IIT Kharagpur? Is it better than other LLM colleges

YV
Yogita Verma Posted On : March 23rd, 2023
LLM at NLU Delhi, 2020

I will not suggest you to join RGSOIPL, IIT Kharagpur because of a number of reasons

  • RGSOIPL still has a two-year programme while most Law Schools have changed the duration of the program to one year only. Wasting an additional year is not worth it.
  • The LLM program lacks the necessary coursework and relevancy of the curriculum mainly because the administration has zero knowledge about specializations.
  • The faculty is focused on the flagship program that is LLB and hardly cares about LLM students. It also lacks the necessary skills to teach the program effectively.
  • The institution does not permit students to opt for internships during vacations rather want them to work in their sponsored projects.

I would suggest you choose premier institutes for LLM such as - BHU, AMU, DU, NLSIU, NUJS, NALSAR.

How do I make the best out of IIM Ahmedabad and B-School in general?

KD
Kulkarni Dhiraj Posted On : November 23rd, 2022
PGP 2013-2015

The primary thing to focus on while at IIM Ahmedabad or any other B School is the journey and not the end. Don’t start your college with the job as the end result. Upgrade your mindset. College is much more than just placements and jobs.

College life is about life struggles, a lot of knowledge, knowing your own self, finding your area or interests and pursuing your passion. So I would say to make the most of the B School, keep the thoughts of your future job aside and adopt a nature of learning new things every day.

Make the most of the liberal days in your life because once you start working your freedom will be restricted.
