GATE 2023 Physics Paper Analysis will be updated here after the conclusion of the exam at 5:30 PM on Feb 11 2023. The section-wise analysis for GATE 2023 PH paper will be provided here based on the initial student reactions and expert reviews. Based on previous year’s GATE question paper analysis, one can expect the overall difficulty level of GATE 2023 PH paper to be moderate.
GATE Answer Key 2023 (Provisional) for PH will be released by IIT kanpur on February 21, 2023. Candidates can download GATE Question Paper along with the answer key through GOAPS portal on the official website- gate.iitk.ac.in using their registered credentials. GATE PH Previous Years’ Paper Analysis
- Overall Difficulty Level: The difficulty level of the paper was between moderate and easy. The total number of questions were not too much, thus running out of time was not a common problem among test takers.
- The problems were usually formula based, requiring little calculation.

GATE PH Marking Scheme
- For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt.
- In the case of 2-mark MCQs, the candidate will be penalized 2/3 mark for the wrong attempt
- For questions that aren’t attempted, zero marks will be awarded.
- There was no negative marking for numerical answer type (NAT) questions

How to challenge GATE 2023 PH Answer Key?
- Log into the GATE Online Application Processing System.
- Go through the guidelines for challenging the answer keys and click on ‘Agree’ tab.
- Click on the “Contest Answer Key" tab and mail objections related to the answer.
- Make the required payment (INR 500/ question).
Important Note(s)!
- NRI candidates have to pay US $10 per question.
- It is important to use the correct question number given in the question paper to challenge.
- Attach a justified proof for challenging the answer key.
