GATE 2020 GG Question Paper with Answer Key PDF is available for download. GATE 2020 was conducted by IIT Delhi on February 2, 2020, in the afternoon session. GATE 2020 GG question paper was of moderate level of difficulty. Candidates had to attempt 65 questions- 10 from General Aptitude, and 25 compulsory questions in section A, and 30 from section B (either geology or geophysics).

GATE GG 2020 Paper Analysis

The exam consisted of two types of questions i.e MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) and NAT (Numerical Multiple Type). The total marks of GATE GG 2020 question paper were 100. 55 questions were from core discipline whereas 10 questions were from general aptitude.

  • General aptitude and Part A were compulsory to attend while only one out of the 2 optionals had to be attempted in section B.
  • According to the paper format, 0.33 marks were deducted for every incorrect 1 mark question, and 0.66 marks were deducted for every incorrect 2 marks question.
