- There were around 24 NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions and rest of the 41 questions were 41 MCQs
- The exam was conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. 3 hours were allotted to solve 65 questions
- There was two kinds of questions appeared in GATE 2020 EE i.e MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and NAT (Numerical Answer Type)
- The full marks of the GATE 2020 EE were 100. All the questions carrying either 1 or 2 marks
- There was a negative marking for every wrong attempt answer 1/3 marks would be deducted for every MACQ carrying 1 mark. 2/3 marks would be deducted for every wrong MCQ carrying 2 marks
- There were no deductions if a wrong answer would be attempted on the NAT question. However, candidates didn't get any options in NAT questions, as candidates were suppose to type the answer via a virtual keyboard appearing on their computer screen
