GATE 2019 XL (Life Science) Question Paper with Answer Key PDF is available for download. GATE 2019 XL was conducted by the IIT Madras on February 2, 2019 in Online Mode. GATE XL is conducted for admission into Post Graduation in Life Sciences Course. GATE 2019 XL has 3 sections which include a General Aptitude section, a Compulsory Chemistry Section and the third segment of the GATE 2019 XL paper has segments from Q to U and the applicants need to attempt two segments from this section. In terms of difficulty level GATE XL 2019 exam was considered moderate.

GATE XL 2019 Paper Analysis

• GATE XL 2019 has 10 General Aptitude questions. From Question number 1 to 5, for every correct answer, 1 mark is granted, and the questions from 6 to 10 have 2 marks for each.
• Aspirants found aptitude questions a bit tricky. The Chemistry Section of GATE XL 2019 was evaluated to be easy, with a few difficult questions as well. From Section Q to U, it was compulsory for aspirants to attempt any two of them.
• The Chemistry section XL-P has 15 questions including organic and inorganic questions.
• The third segment from Q to U comprises 20 questions in each segment.
• For every incorrect answer to 1 marks question, 1/3 marks were deducted and for 2 marks questions, 2/3 were deducted for wrong answers.
• The questions of Botany i.e, XL-R section were found to be moderate.
