GATE 2019 CE Question Paper for slot 1 consisted of a total of 65 questions, out of which 27 questions were of the Numerical Answer Type (NAT) including 1 and 2 mark questions.

• In the Technical section, there were 6 questions from Mathematics, which were considerably easy and were not time consuming for the candidates.
• In the forenoon session, questions on Geotechnical carried the highest weightage while CMM carried the lowest weightage.
• Only 1 question was asked from CMM (2 marks), which the candidates considered to be moderate and the section was overall difficult.
