GATE 2018 Engineering Science (XE) Question Paper: Weightage of Questions

GATE 2018 XE had 8 sections. General Aptitude and Section A (Engineering Mathematics) are compulsory sections while candidates must choose any TWO from Section B-H of GATE XE paper. These sections are Fluid Mechanics, Materials Science, Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Polymer Science & Engineering, Food Technology, and Atmospheric & Oceanic Science. The paper code for these sections was XE-A, XE-B, XE-C, XE-D, XE-E, XE-F, XE-G, and XE-H respectively. Section XE-A had 21 questions in total. Out of 21 questions, 14 were MCQs and 7 were NATs. Section XE-B to XE-H had 22 questions each.
