GATE 2018 Petroleum Engineering (PE) Question Paper and Answer Key PDFs are available for download. GATE 2018 PE paper was conducted on February 3, 2018 in the Forenoon session by IIT Guwahati. GATE 2018 PE Paper Analysis
GATE Petroleum Engineering (PE) was introduced in 2016. The paper consists of Multiple Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type Questions (NATs). Some of the topics with a higher weightage in GATE 2018 PE Question Paper were Petroleum Exploration; Reservoir Engineering; Principles applications, advantages and disadvantages of SP, resistivity, radioactive, Horner’s Plot; Drill Stem Testing; Oil and Gas Well Drilling Technology; Petroleum Production Operations; Differential equations; Probability; Matrix algebra. Candidates found the mathematics section quite scoring with engineering and discrete math of around 18 marks.
