Both MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and NATs (Numerical Answer Types), types of questions appeared in GATE 2018 AR. All the questions carried either 1 or 2 marks, constituting a 100 marks question paper.

• 180 minutes were allotted for solving 65 questions in GATE 2018 AR.
• There were 17 NAT (Numerical Answer Type) questions in GATE 2018 AR. Rest of the 48 questions were MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions).
• 10 MCQs questions appeared from the General Aptitude section, carrying 15 marks.
• The remaining 55 questions were related to core subject carrying 85% of the paper weightage.
• GATE 2018 AR was a CBT based exam which consisted of 65 questions. 3 hours were allowed to solve all the questions
