GATE 2016 Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) Slot 1 Question Paper and Answer key PDF is available to download. GATE 2016 CS paper was conducted by IISc, Bangalore on February 6, 2016 in the Forenoon Session (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM). The overall difficulty level of the exam stood at modest to difficult. General Aptitude had a weightage of 10% of the overall marks and was easy to attempt.

GATE 2016 Computer Science (CS)- Slot 1 Question Paper Analysis
- This year, the conducting body (IISc, Bangalore) introduced two sections, that is, multiple-choice questions (MCQ) and numerical answer type (NAT). The questions were for 1- mark and 2 marks accordingly.
- The question paper consisted of 65 questions for overall 100 marks. 10 of the 65 Questions were related to General Aptitude.
- There NAT questions hold zero marks for wrong answers.
- Only wrong attempted questions (MCQs) would carry negative marking of 0.33 or 0.66 for 1- mark question and 2 marks question respectively.
- GATE 2016 CS cut-off stood at 25 for General, 22.5 for OBC, 16.6 for SC/ST/PWD out of 100.
