GATE 2014 Engineering Sciences (XE) Detailed Paper Analysis
- GATE XE 2014 had questions of 1 and 2 marks, and for every incorrect answer, It was compulsory to attempt the GA, Engineering Mathematics section and any 2 sections out of 6 optional sections from B through G.The paper has more MCQ questions in comparison to NAT.
- In GATE XE 2014, the General Aptitude section had 10 questions of 1 and 2 marks. There were questions asked in the Section of Engineering Mathematics which was compulsory to attempt.

- The Fluid Mechanics Section had six 1 marks and seven 2 marks MCQ questions. Also, this section had three 1 marks and six 2 marks NAT Questions.
- The Material Science Section had ten 1 marks and five 2 marks on MCQ questions with nine 2 marks on NAT Questions.
- The Solid Mechanics section had six 1 marks and nine 2 marks MCQ questions. this section was also having NAT Questions.
