Topic: Crust Copper Company

The arguments stated was about the Crust Copper Company (CCC) which have already purchased land in tropical areas of West Fredonia for the use of exhaling copper, and they stated that this will result in an environmental disaster that corrupts the living environment for endangered animal species which live in the West Fredonia and the author subjects that this can be prevented by stopping the usage of the product with their copper to let them stop mining from those regions. There are similar missed assumptions that are not stated and there could be many miscalculations made about the company’s interest to buy those lands. The author suggests refusing the purchase of the products of Crust Copper Company (CCC) until the company completes its mining plans in the tropical nation of West Fredonia to prevent environmental disaster and the disappearance of endangered species residing there. At first sight, the argument seems to be quite appealing but however, if we think about it there are several flaws in it, there are many assumptions made by the author without any possible evidence and there are several alternative explanations that could seriously undermine the validity of the conclusion. The author should provide additional significant evidence to provide sufficient ground for the argument to stand without any clear we should not conclude which could affect a company’s reputation.

Also check:

At first, the author naively assumes that Crust Copper Company (CCC) has purchased 10,000 square miles of land in the tropical nation of West Fredonia. However, this assumption falls short given the lack of evidence stating that there is copper ore in the land which can be extracted. It is possible that the land does not contain any ore for the extraction of copper for commercial purposes. It is also possible that the company has purchased such land considering the welfare of the endangered species to elevate its reputation. The author needs to provide reliable evidence regarding the purpose of CCC in the purchase of the land before concluding. Let us assume that the company has purchased the land for the extraction of copper for financial purposes.

The benefit of customers would be care firstly. Once Crust Copper Company provides their copper to another factory as wire corn, but customers cannot tear the plastic surface down to copper corn to identify if it comes from Crust Copper Company. So completely refusing The Crust Copper Company's productions is impractical. As we know there is so much demand for tourism in every place of the world, what if the Crust Copper Company is going to build a tourist destination in West Fredonia, many tourists will come here, and they will choose West Fredonia over other tourists’ destinations which are near. Moreover, if the Crust Copper Company gives up its mining plans, other companies can invest in this land for their major and minor industrial projects. It may not be for copper mining, but cleaning the forests for cattle grazing, logging, automobile factories or building highways or dams or any other activities that include pollution and deforestation could let the local ecosystem destroy either way.

The author stated that, since many animals are living in West Fredonia, they will be affected by the mining progress, so let us assume that the land was brought by the Crust Copper Company for mining but how can the author believe many animals can get affected without providing the exact geological distributions of animals and the mining location. If the tropical nation has a very high density of endangered animals in a small area where the mining group will not be able to approach, the mining progress will have little effect on the animals, which will not be strong enough to have a tremendous effect on the ecology of the nation. So, more information about the location of animals and mining companies should be provided if we need to support the argument. To protect the tropical rainforest, not only West Fredonia but also all rainforest nations should prohibit all kinds of extractive industries. Because the rainforest ecosystem is a delicately balanced web, the species depend on each other, one disappears, another becomes extinct with it, which in turn destroys the entire web. So, the sole plan of preventing the Crust Copper Company's mining plan is meaningless by just assuming their plans without knowing their true intentions.

The author claims that a customer's boycott could stop Crust Copper Company from carrying out their mining plan and could protect the African tropical rainforests on West Fredonia. However, there is no sufficient evidence to support the advice though it seems appealing. People would not believe the boycott of the Crust Copper Company's products will entirely protect West Fredonia's rainforests unless more information should be provided, such as the natural environmental information about the West Fredonia, the Crust Copper Company's production list, and the analysis of the plan's possibility. The author should deliberately evaluate the outcome if he or she is going to resist their product, and the decision needs to be carefully made in order to prevent further effects on the environment. If any of the arguments above turns out to be true, the whole plan about stopping and boycotting the Crust Copper Company falls apart.
