GRE Rescheduling Fee

All countries except China, candidates need to pay a $50 fee to reschedule a GRE date, time, or test center. This fee is in addition to the test fee of $205. Thus, if you were to reschedule a GRE date once and take the test, you’d pay, in total, $255. In mainland China, the cost to reschedule a GRE date, time, or test center is a little higher: $53.90.

GRE test reschedule can be done by the following steps given below:

• Click on the “Upcoming Tests”
• Select the exam to reschedule
• Click on the “Reschedule Appointment” option under Actions
• Click on “Find Available Test Centers and Dates” and select the date time and place
• If seats are available, a new window will pop up – click on “Register” and then “Yes” to confirm.

Rescheduling the GRE

Unfortunately, there is no GRE reschedule fee waiver. Candidates can reschedule their GRE registration online by logging in to your ETS account that you created during registration. You can also reschedule over the phone by contacting the appropriate Regional Registration Center (RRC). For Indian candidates, wanting to reschedule GRE test, the RRC number is 91-124-4147700.

GRE Cancellation

To cancel your GRE test, you need to log in to your ETS Account. GRE cancellation policy includes that you can also cancel over the phone by contacting the Regional Registration Center (RRC).

You can get the GRE test canceled by canceling the GRE general test registration within four days prior to your test days. You will never receive a full GRE cancel refund, even if you cancel extremely early. One thing you can do is to get a 50 percent refund ($102.50) by canceling the GRE at least four days before your test date.

Rescheduling the Paper-Delivered GRE or GRE Subject Test

Both the paper-delivered GRE and GRE subject tests are paper tests offered three times a year; therefore, they follow a similar procedure for registration changes.

Like the computer-delivered GRE, in order to reschedule a paper-delivered GRE or GRE subject test, there are a few conditions. Likewise:

• Choose a new date in the same testing year as your original test date (July 1 to June 30). You can browse GRE subject test dates, paper-delivered GRE test dates, and GRE test centers by going to the ETS website.
• Pay a $50 rescheduling fee.
• Submit your request at least four days in advance of your test appointment. If you fail to reschedule your test date before this deadline, you will forfeit your test fee ($205 for the paper-delivered GRE and $150 for a GRE subject test).

You can reschedule GRE at home by going online to your ETS Account and following the steps described above. However, you can also reschedule by mail, fax, or phone.

Both the numbers are toll-free for applicants in the United States, U.S. territories, and Canada. You can call on Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. ET. Rescheduling GRE at Home 

It is easier to GRE reschedule at home than other ways. The best part of the GRE test at home reschedule is that you can take it as many times as you want. Nonetheless, the GRE at home reschedule fee is around $8. So, you can reschedule GRE test at home in less than 72 hours before the test, and the GRE test reschedule fee of around $12 fee in case you reschedule it less than 2 hours before the test.
