He has 20 years of rich experience with the IT industry and academia in the field of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology in teaching, research & development. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“The continuous drive towards adapting technology keeps me connected to the education”

There are innumerable reasons why I am working in the education sector. One of the most important is that in education, research and development are continuous activities which keep me alive, which is essential for us to survive in life.


What are the greatest strengths of your department?

“Our department is fully-equipped to serve the greater purpose for the students”

The IT department at SKIT is a well-equipped department in terms of hardware and software. With experienced faculty members and we do have specialized labs like IoT, Distributed computing labs in association with our industry partners


What kinds of projects/internships are provided by the department of IT at SKIT for students?

“We seek help of industry partners who help enlighten our students”

For the past ten years, we have been running an in-house summer internship program for our students in association with our industry partners. And as far as projects are concerned we do have a project bank form our industry partners, from which students are doing their projects under supervision of industry professionals.

What is the future scope of this course from your institution?

“There is a massive scope because of the trending technologies flourishing every hour”

Information Technology is the backbone of today’s economy. Hence there is a massive scope in IT programs as far as the future is concerned. We are in a process to establish distributed computing research facilities in the department.


What approach do you have for placement of the students in your department?

“We do have rich connectivity with industry”

Luckily, we got a chance to roll out various industry-oriented programs for our students to make them employable. Additionally, rolling out more than 100 hours of industry-oriented courses for each batch towards the better placement of our students. 


What suggestions would you like to give to the current students, who are pursuing IT courses?

“Students should learn cloud based technologies”

The IT industry is passing through a critical stage as entire computing is shifting to cloud based technologies. Therefore, I would suggest to all the students to keep learning towards cloud technologies and full stack development. It will help you create a prosperous career ahead.
