“Constant learning and updating the knowledge with the recent trends"

The key factors that keep me connected with the education sector are “Constant learning and updating the knowledge with the recent trends." My passions include teaching and research. I've been working in education since finishing my bachelor's degree. As a teacher/ mentor, I am responsible for more than simply teaching students; I am also responsible for staying up to date on current trends. SSIPMT is a fantastic place to work and it provides the ideal environment for learning. I would like to say to all engineering aspirants, it is one of the utmost engineering colleges in the state, that combines industry best practices with a top-notch academic environment.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“To monitor the academic progress of the department and workload of Faculty Members”

As Head of the Department, I am accountable for the Department's academic affairs, like allocation of subjects to the faculty members before the commencement of the semester, Monitoring the academic progress of the departments, and the workloads of teaching and non-teaching employees. I also provide necessary inputs to the principal regarding all the departmental needs, such as faculty members, support staff, new equipment, books and journals, maintenance, and also update the proper functioning of the Department during weekly/fortnightly meetings. I am also responsible for uplifting R&D, Consultancy, and motivating faculties and students to publish Research papers in reputed Journals. I also conduct expert lectures, seminars, workshops, and conferences on a routine basis from time to time. If it is required, I also arrange remedial classes for the benefit of below-average students. I am in charge of recruiting faculty members to apply for various research funding. Responsibilities include developing new programmers in partnership with other organizations, universities, and various industries.

Do you have any extracurricular programs to enhance the skills of the students?

“We organize skill-enhancing programs to expose students to real-world challenges”

Of course, we have numerous extracurricular programs and activities to help students develop not only academic skills but also learn life skills such as teamwork, cultural engagement, social skills, time and resource management, a feeling of commitment, and an ability to grasp new perspectives. We have an NSS unit in our college that organizes events like blood donation camps, cultural programs & arts festivals. Our Students actively participate in college-level festival celebrations. Various Sports events like Cricket tournaments and other indoor and outdoor sports are held on the campus. College events are always organized and controlled mostly by the students. Apart from their usual curriculum, students are strongly encouraged to participate in activities connected to their streams, such as drone/robot construction, coding competitions, Hackathons, gaming battles, and filmmaking.

How does the curriculum of SSIPMT ensure that the students are being prepared for the future?

“Providing students with effective and creative initiatives like workshops and Online sessions”

While we cannot foresee the types of professions that will exist in the long term with confidence, we do know that today's students will require a diverse set of abilities, called "21st-century talents." These are, nonetheless, the talents that our pupils require today. With this in mind, we must consider the most effective strategies for providing all students with authentic, unique, and innovative learning experiences that promote the development of these critical abilities. We Dedicate time to creative initiatives, recognize and reward originality and divergent thinking, enable future employees to make decisions, allow for mistakes, and track what counts most: how they develop into a valued human resource with humanity. We assist students with placements by providing them with all necessary training, communication enhancement, and mock interview drives, as well as arranging for their engagement with their placed seniors and other experienced and successful individuals from various institutes and industries.

How do you make the Course Curriculum industry-oriented?

“To bridge the gap between the practical and theoretical skills of students”

To deliver industry-oriented education, the approach of learning from an industry viewpoint is taught in the context of applying that information to the design, development, and operation of products. Vocational Training and Internships provide primary exposure to industry-level learning. Apart from this, numerous high-tech organizations provide students instruction in their specific tools and technologies, and we offer other beyond syllabus learning opportunities during the semesters. Students are taught and encouraged to use platforms such as Codechef, NVIDIA, Oracle Academy, and many more to collaborate and learn with more experienced individuals.

What are the approaches you bring in apart from curriculum to teaching the students?

“Encourage students to join online training programs like AI, ML, React and Programming”

Specialized training programs like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, React, Competitive Programming, GitHub, Python, IoT, Drones, and Robotics, among others, are routinely arranged for students by the department's experienced faculty or by field experts from other academic and professional fields. The institute encourages students to develop viable and marketable products/projects that can be patented/registered as innovations and commercialized.

  • Financial Difficulties shouldn’t be a barrier due to Govt. Funding and scholarships.
  • Recognition at the national level with better Rankings and Ratings.
