The first kind of Bhilai Institute of Technology came into presence on the July month of 1986. Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur (BITR) was founded in the year 2009 as the successor institution by the BIT Trust (Seth BalKrishan Memorial), which already regulates the institution at Durg.
